The Patrick Roy Personality Theory

By : Liz

After years of research, I have come to the conclusion that Patrick Roy suffers from multiple personality disorder.

Patty

- a fun loving, easy going guy, but not too bright, everyone just loves to be around Patty because something exciting is bound to happen, unfortunately Patty thinks he is a forward and is constantly thinking of scoring, which leads to wandering

ex. of Patty

- ---in New York, at Madison Square Gardens, when he rushed up to center ice and played keep away with Wayne Gretzky

Pat

- Pat doesn't play hockey at all, and is a rather quiet and subdued person, Pat also plays golf, he thinks he's going to play in the PGA one day (of course we wish him luck and hope his dream does come true)

ex of Pat-

---whenever Patty is playing and gets pulled (as he often does), Pat takes over to control Patty's anger of being pulled, of course it wasn't Patty's fault that goal went in, after all, he DID tell Forsberg to cover goal for him

St. Patrick

-the most serious of Roy's personalities, any time he is in goal, a shut-out is guarenteed, but St. Patrick is the easiest personality to displace, so, he may not be present for very long

ex. of St. Patrick-

---whenever Roy has wide eyes and an almost paraniod look to him, anytime Roy gets a shut-out, St. Patrick must be the personality in goal-evidence has lead me to believe that the crowd chanting "Roy! Roy! Roy!" leads to the surfacing of St. Patrick

Patrick

-the original, he is the base personality that the others try to protect from bad things such as losses, double boogies and Jeremy Roenick
