Jack Myers, although born in Sault Ste. Marie, has always aligned himself with the formative years he spent in Webbwood, Ontario. He enlisted in WWII from Webbwood and was assigned to a New Brunswick Regiment where he saw action first hand in North Africa, Italy and Holland. He was radio operator in Sherman Tanks. After successfully defeating the Axis in Europe, he volunteered for the Pacific action but on his way for a short visit at home, that war was over.
