The league was started back in 1978 for Naval Avionics Facility Indianapolis (NAFI) retirees by Reese Berry and Tyree Randolph and was later opened to players who retired from other work places. The league originally started playing at Sahm Golf Course and sometime around 1982 it was moved to South Grove Golf Course. The league presently meets starting in mid March of each year and continues through October. It meets on Thursday morning with tee times starting at 9:00am. Players are encouraged to be at the clubhouse for sign-in prior to 8:30am. The league meets at SOUTH GROVE GOLF COURSE on the northwest side of Indianapolis. There are 3 par 5 holes,10 par 4 holes and 5 par 3 holes that make up the course.The telephone number for obtaining tee times is 317 327-7350.
