The Sweet 16th !
The 2006 AMFGA season, (our 16th!) teed off on in fine style on April 13. 2005 Champion Stu got things started with the ceremonial tee-off. The sun was shining and the wind was howling and 13 AMF'ers were in attendance. It was great to see 3 AMF'ers who spent the 2005 season on the DL return to action for week one. The Commish, Billy T started 2006 with a bang by carding an 81 for a net –2 to capture week one honours. John fired a 72, net –1 and second place money this week. Click here for the full results from April 13.
Billy T and John of course finished 1-2 in the Super Senior Competition.
In the Team Competition the Masters picked up 3 points with a score of -15. The Jaggers earned 2 points and Nigel & the Pacemakers garnered a single point. Click here for the team rosters. If you don't like your team name, discuss with your teammates and let the webmaster know of your new moniker.
The first jug of free draught in the Beer Game went to the foursome of John, Jim, Bryan and Paul who came in at –13 for a two stroke victory.
Six Cleaners at $4.00 per were paid out this first Thursday. Singles went to Dave K (1), Bryan (2), Billy C (3), Dave H (6), John (7) and Brian (10). Click here for the complete standings after April 13.
