Paul Weathers The Storm!
Under threatening skies the AMFGA returned to it's regular format this week. A powerful thunderstorm did interrupt the round for about 20 minutes. But when the skies cleared the boys (well almost all of them) returned to action under soggy but playable conditions. Paul became the latest AMF'er to earn his 2007 card by firing a Mystic Ridge personal best of 75 for a net –10 to take top spot this week. Paul earned $20.00 as this was a make up date for one of the twin May rainouts. Bryan took second place and $10.00 with a 71, net –7 and moves into sole possession of first in the AMFGA Standings. Bill T earned 10 points and moves into a tie for first with Stan in the Super Senior competition. Glen and Stu won 5 points each.
The Pacemakers picked up 3 points in the Team Competition and make a slight dent in the Masters lead. The Masters won 2 points and the Jaggers who are suffering from attendance woes garnered a single point.
The trio of Paul, Frank and Stan quaffed from the free drug of draught by wining the Beer Game with a –17 total.
Four Cleaners worth $4.00 each were doled out this week. Paul (6), Frank (8), Bill T (9) and Bryan (10) each earned a single.
