Frank and Billy C Tame Windy Wednesday!

 

The AMF'ers gathered on Wednesday this week due to the annual Tournament of Hope at Oakville Executive.  The weather looked iffy during the day but no rain did fall but it sure was windy and a bit on the chilly side.  With the tough conditions the scores did soar as nobody cam in under par net.  But two lads managed to match par net and earn some significant dollars.  It was our last (we hope!) rain make-up date and Billy C (76) and Frank (84) tied at even par 63 net and picked up $15.00 each.  Frank moves into third place tie in the AMFGA Standings.  With only two games left on the schedule 13 AMF'ers still have a shot at winning the money title and of course the coveted Blue Plaid Jacket.  Click here for the full results from September 20.

Frank earned0 10 points for the second consecutive week in the in the Super Senior Competition.  Bill T won 5 points and moves into sole possession of first place with 75 points.

The Masters won 3 points in  the Team Competition and have clinched the title and the $120.00 first prize.  The Pacemakers won 2 points and the Jaggers returned to winning the single point.

The Beer Game was won by the foursome of John, Steve, Don and Bill M with one of the lowest winning scores in the annals of the Beer Game at –12..  It didn't seem to bother them as they quaffed the free ale.

Five Cleaners worth $5.00 each were doled out  this week.  Bill T  (1,4) cashed a pair.  Singles went to  Bill M (3), Dave K (5) and John (11).
