The Commish Bags His First Title!
It was the penultimate game of the 2006 AMFGA season. The last competitive Thursday this year. Eleven AMF'ers teed it up in chilly but very playable conditions. When the scores had been tallied at the Abbey Road pub, the Commish, Billy T was the winner with a 78, net –4 total. John took 2nd place money this week with a 70, net –3. Bill's $10.00 winnings moved him up to $50.00 for the season and within $10.00 of front runner Stu. With only Saturday's H.A.M. Invitational left on the schedule 6 AMF'ers still have a shot at winning the money title and the hallowed Blue Plaid Jacket. The top 3 can all possibly win with a 2nd place finish. Bill's took10 points in the Super Senior Competition and clinched the 2006 Super Senior title! John won 5 points this week. Stu has clinched 2nd place money but Stan and Glen will be battling for the 3rd place cash on Saturday.
The Masters won 3 points in the Team Competition. The Jaggers won 2 points and the Pacemakers 1.
The Beer Game and the Cleaners competitions were nullified this week as some competitors took off without anteing up.
