Kapalua Resort - Bay Course |
Arnold Palmer and Francis Duane designed
The Bay Course. The forerunner of Kapalua's three
championship golf courses, The Bay Course is a 6,600-yard
par 72 with gently rolling fairways and generous greens.
It is characterized by rolling and hilly terrain; 68
bunkers and 8 water hazards, all surrounded by pineapple
fields, and lava flows. With its picturesque signature
hole #5 requiring the golfer to carry the tee shot over
the Pacific on to a well-guarded green, The Bay Course is
an excellent example of resort golf at its best in Hawaii. The Bay course was released on LS97 with it's sister courses, Kapalua Village and Plantation, as well as the famous Latrobe course. A challaging course, it has a lot to offer to the Links LS player. |
