St. Andrews Golf Links - Old Course

St Andrews - Old Course Often called the home of golf, the old course at St. Andrews golf links is the world most famous course. Situated on the east coast of Scotland, the town of St. Andrews is a typical Scotish town. It reaps of history including the history of golf. It has been host to many British Opens, thus hosting some of the worlds top golfers. The Old Course is but 1 of 6 the links courses offered

The course itself is open to the elements. Because the course is unprotected, wind plays an important part of any round. On a windy day the course is more than challenging. The fairways are wide and are usually potmarked with many deep bunkers. Greens are large offering a good chance for a bird.

St Andrews was offered as a Links golf course as part of the release of LS99. It can be considered one of the easier courses available by Access as it does have wide open greens with not one tree on the hole course. It is a more than challanging course in windy conditions.
