Meta awoke in a dark place, chained to a wall. His body was drenched in sweat and his head pounded. He was sent to the sphere of punishment along with Skull Sabeh and all his servants. They were to be punished for eternity for failing to take over the Slums for the Dark Lord. Meta's body was sliced open and filled with seeds from a dark tree that grew in the under realm that sucked the life from everything. Meta felt the roots slowly grow through his body in an agonizing painful experience. He wished he would die. The seeds caused him to go mad. The seeds did not drain his power like the punisher thought it would. Instead the seeds gave him power and reshaped his body. Meta's power grew and grew until one day he fought back. He tore the chains from the walls of the underealm and killed the Punisher, the man who tortured everyone in the punishment sphere. He freed several trapped demons and with his army of demons behind him broke his way through the punishment sphere. He discovered an old allie however, one he thought he would never see again. Torrag was chained to a wall, now a sickly rotting corpse of a man. Meta grabbed him and with his army of demons broke out of dark realm. Once Meta broke free he renounced his mortal name and took on one based upon the seeds that had given him hius new power. He named himself Darkseed, one which became feared and well known. To this day demons can still feel and sense the power of Darkseed, he is feared and respected in the underealm by many demons.
Now the mad creature darkseed used his powers to drain the life energy from planet to planet so he could restore power to his former master Torrag. Torrag convinced Darkseed that they needed to wreck revenge on the warriors of the past and their children. Darkseed destroyed the light tree of sages and used his evil seeds to plant a tree that absorbed much of the life from Dante, making it a dark and gloomy place. No one could stand against Darkseed and all the slum warriors of the past and present were destroyed save for two elemental fighter both with the power of ice. Zeph and Frost once enemies brought together through war faced Darkseed. they discovered he was work under Torrag who had grown supremely powerful through the power Dakrseed had absorbed. Zeph destroyed Darkseed but at the cost of his life. His stbbed him with the Shendragon sword which melted through his dark exterior and caused hims to fall. It was then up to Frost to face Torrag. Torrag and Frost fought on until finally with a final blast and by throwing the Shendragon sword into Torrag, the battle ended. Frost was fatally wounded however the multiverse was once again saved, and Darkseed was believed to never be heard from again...
The cold remains of Darkseed were left undisturbed on the snowy moutaincaps of DanteIV and forgotten, until one day a gray haired warrior came across the ancient castle of Torrag and discovered them. Zenoro recognized the warrior of old. He had often wished to find this creature of pure Darkness, a creature who had come from someone so good and turned into something so evil. Zenoro took the remains with him to his base. They were studied and the body of Darkseed was infused with the elemental Death stone. The stone restored darkseeds power and his body regenerated. Once reborn he was obliged to served Zenoro because of the control of the stoen he had. Darkseed can teleport between worlds and dimensions by creating portals and rules the demon army which is rarely called upon because of their sick and gruesome tactics. Now with his death power magnified by the death stone Darkseed is now a more dangerous opponent than ever before. His motives still he is worshipped and praised by the demons of the underealm which he frequently visits searching for his old master...
