James Stubbs and his experience with cancer.
This will help keep family and friends up to date with the progress on James Stubbs.
Entry for November 14, 2006
Praise the Lord. Jim went into surgery at 10:40am and came out about 4pm. Dr. Choti said that he had the best news possible in this case. The cancer was localized to just the one area so he did not have to take out part of the liver or the pancreas. He removed the bile duct and gallbladder and took a part of the intestine to reconstruct the bile duct. It was the best news we could receive, Amen. He said Jim had strong lungs and a strong heart which helped him through the surgery. He is in intensive care right now, but he looks to be discharged from IC tomorrow sometime. Originally they told him he would probably be in the hospital for 7 to 14 days, but since the surgery went so well, it looks like it will only be 4-6 days depending on his speed of recovery. He should be out of the hospital before Thanksgiving and there will be alot to be thankful for. Thank you all for all your prayers and thoughts. We fealt them and know they had an affect.  Please keep checking back for updated outlooks.
