Welcome to the Website of the

  BRITISH SOCIAL GROUP (BSG) in Lebanon

The BSG, a non-profit-making, voluntary organisation, was founded in May 1999 by Graeme Scott and a small group of other expatriates as a means of keeping the British community in Lebanon aware of social activities.  Since its founding, the membership of  the BSG has grown considerably and many social events have been organised (see Regular Events).

 Historically a newcomer to Lebanon may have taken a number of months before establishing links with other British expatriates. Now, through the BSG, people are establishing contact more quickly. 


The BSG Website was introduced in the Summer of 2000 as a means of increasing the awareness of the existence of the BSG. As you navigate through the Website you will find information about some of the activities and also about other groups associated with the BSG.   

We hope you find the content of the Website interesting and informative.

If you are a British expatriate currently residing in Lebanon or are soon to be a resident then let us know about your presence and we will add you to the e-mail distribution list for BSG activities.
