CONTEST RULES AND REGULATIONS: 1. Each individual entrant will select a total of 4 players entered in the 1999 Open Championship at Carnoustie. These 4 selected players will form a team that will compete on behalf of the entrant. The lowest aggregate score between 2 of these 4 players will be used to determine the entrants final position in the pool. The entrant with the lowest aggregate score will be deemed the winner. 2. Selection of players will be determined as follows: The players available in the pool were separated into 3 different categories as seen in Golf Digest Magazine July 1999 (It was actually 4 categories...two categories were combined for the purpose of the pool). These categories are: THE FRONT RUNNERS THE CHALLENGERS THE LONG SHOTS AND OUTSIDERS Each entrant must select 1 player only from each category. The 4th selection is a wildcard selection. This can be any player from any category as well as any player entered in the Open Championship (note: a comprehensive listing of all players can be found using the links on this page. To make your selection online, visit: www.geocities.com/Augusta/Links/3452/online-entry2.html 3. At least two of the four selected players must make the cut for the tournament (the cut made after 36 holes). 4. Aggregate scores will be based on 72 Holes. Playoffs will have no bearing on the outcome of the pool. 5. REMINDER: WINNER IS DETERMINED BY SELECTING LOW AGGREGATE SCORE OF TWO PLAYERS. AN ENTRANT COULD CONCEIVEABLY SELECT THE WINNER OF THE 1999 OPEN CHAMPIONSHIP TOURNAMENT AND NOT WIN THE POOL IF ANOTHER ENTRANT SELECTS TWO PLAYERS THAT HAVE A COMBINED LOWER SCORE. 6. Should two or more entrants share the low aggregate score, each of these entrants shall be deemed co-winners. 7. It is the responsibility of each entrant to make sure that their players are entered into the tournament draw. The players that appear in each category were taken from an issue that was printed several months ago. Some players may have become injured or have withdrawn. Full listing of tournament draw can be obtained by visiting one of the links in the website. No subsitutions will be permitted once the tournament has begun. 8. email questions to p__cheung@yahoo.com (note:there are 2 underscores after the "p") or leave message at x4337. |
