Change in Faces
In addition to the returning members,we would like to welcome Bryan Baquer to the A Division and Tom Dushkewich, Vince Caligiuri, Bob Perks and Mike Fuller to the B Division.After reshuffleing the handicaps, returning members Doug Perks and Roman Hrycushkowill move from the B tothe A Division. 

Change in Rules

After two years of heated debate, Par 3’s will no longer be handicapped holes.In the event you run into this dilemma, the next highest Par 4 or Par 5 will be used.

Hail to the ’99 Champion

We would like to congratulate Bob Welc for winning the ’99 championship in a ‘heart stopping’ performance over Kevin Stevenson at Westwood Golf Club.

Bob had a Cinderella season last year after suffering a heart attacktwo months before the league started.He learned earlier this year that this too was a ‘heart stopping’ performance (his heart had stopped twice!!).

First Match at Porky’s

Thanks to the wisdom of the scheduling committee we will not be subject to the winter like conditions at our normal season opener at Spring Hollow in April.This years first match is at Ed Porky Oliver's in Wilmington, Del.This is the LinkSturs first match in the state of Delaware.The front nine should present a challenge to the 'hookers' as holes 2, 3, 7 and 8 are bordered on the left by residential areas.A moderate slice on #16 can land you in the driving range and the mid day sun makes approach shots to #18 impossible to follow.Porky's has a huge porch (peanut gallery)at the club house which overlooks holes 1, 10, 15 and 18 and presents a good vantage point to cheer on fellow LinkStur's as they complete their round of golf.
