It took one year longer than expected, but Miller Park has finally opened. What a site it is in Milwaukee.
Just driving down the freeway that runs just a few hundred feet in back of the stadium, you become mesmerized in the
beauty of the park. The fan shaped roof that closes in ten minutes. The eery resemblence to Ebbets Field. Miller Park
opened on April 6th, to a sellout crowd, the Cincinnati Reds, and for the first time ever in Milwaukee, the President. Almost
forgotten to all, was the fact that there was going to be a games played. The first ever night opener in Milwaukee history.
The fans lined up hours before the game to take part in the festivities that by far overshadowed the game. In the end, after
George W. Bush threw out the first pitch, thee Brewers beat the Reds 5-4. Below are some pictures of the opening day festivites
and some of the game. Hopefully, with your help, the picture collection will grow.
