Volume 1 Issue 3 Christmas Special December 1999
EPOB GOES “ONLINE” Yes it is true, EPOB now has its own Homepage on the information super highway, the World Wide Web.
Giving in to the demands of a relentless media driven quest for information about us and the all important Australia Day Golf classic, we have, without much fanfare, gone online.
The site has been up and running for a month or two now and we are getting hits of around about two per week!
The site has a bit of information (or bullshit depending on the way you look at it) about EPOB, the latest news, an Honor Board of past winners, Past issues of The Old Royal Mail and a few titty pictures amongst other things. If you want to visit the site here is the address:
www.geocities.com/Augusta/Links/7031
or
www.geocities.com/epob_1999
We also have an email address, it is linked to the web site but if you don't have internet access but you do have email, it is:
kim_wright02@optusnet.com.au
You are welcome to visit the site as often as you like and make any suggestions. I will try to update it reasonably often so check in every now and then. There is a message book that you can leave messages on for all to read. If you would like to contribute in any way, for example you may have some compromising photos that will give us a laugh or just be of interest, along with any articles etc. then let me know.
As nominations for the Golf Classic in 2000 are now being called for, check out all the latest news (maybe even email your nomination) on our site.
First Pictures of the Holy Grail!
Here it is , What we all have been striving for. Only a select few people have actually set eyes upon the Epob golf Day trophy and fresh from repairs after last years unfortunate accident here it is for all to see.
It should be holding pride of place in Delbo's house at the moment, but as he hasn't got one, it is being held in safe keeping for him.-(Delb's you should have grabbed it while you had the chance because you've got buckleys of winning it again!)
EPOB AUSTRALIA DAY GOLF CLASSIC 2000 Organization for this event has stalled slightly due to the booking procedures at the Burswood Golf Course. We can't book until one month ahead, so we aren't confirmed at this stage. But our planning is for it to be there on Wednesday the 26th of January 2000 (It's a public Holiday).
Tee of fairly early with
a BBQ lunch to follow in Burswood Park near the swings and slides with the kids and Wives, girlfriends or others.
No fee set as yet but work on about $50 which includes green fees, lunch and some drinks.
We are now calling for nominations, so get yours in early or you may miss out!
See Wrighty, Westy, Besty or Rocky.
Has anyone been in touch with Shane Warne recently?
I'm sure I heard Butch mumbling a familiar comment at the aftermatch last year about Westy.
Cant't Drive, can't putt!
Sponsorship Required We are still looking for sponsors for next years event, so if you think that your company would benefit from the international exposure that the new web site is sure to generate, then let us know asap to secure your sponsorship package.
