EPOB Australia Day Golf Classic 2006
Form Guide.
The draw for the annual EPOB golf tournament took place on Wednesday 25th Jan. in the Aspen Boardroom. Present for the draw were Wrighty, Besty and Delbo. Contrary to popular belief the event was not rigged and followed all due processes. The pairings and order of play were chosen at random and in manner befitting the surrounding environment.
They are as follows:
Group 1 Howlett and Delbo with Spiro and Hawkeye
Group 2 Rosey and Tom with Butch and Wrighty
Group 3 Hangers and Maughany with Rosco and Copes
Group 4 Westy and Keith with Blakers and Cheese
Group 5 Ian and Shawry with Matty ad Pudu
Group 6 Rocky and Aaron with Besty and Arch
Just a reminder that the T off time is from 7am, so be there by 6.30ish to warm up and get organized (Dont sleep in and get stung by the multinova on the way like Butch last year).
As per usual there will be a couple of beers at the course afterwards, followed by a quick shower and off to Ascot for the arvo. And for the desperados on to the Queens or Brissy.
Rules for the day are as per usual. Pairs best ball with a minimum of three(3) T offs per player, per 9, to be used. I think this is about the first year ever where we don't have any rookies so we should have no rule queries. There will be the usual assortment of novelty prizes to give some of us a chance with closest to pins, longest drives etc
Butch has arranged some sponsorship through Choice Homeloans and Hawk and Delbs have committed to something from Aspen. So hopefully we will have a few prizes and some money on the bar at the races. A few other guys have indicated that they will bring along some merchandise stuff for prizes - the more the better- whatever you can find, bring it along. (fridge magnets excluded).
This is the Bookies guide to the Day. (I'm sure Butch and Spiro will have the board as in previous years).
Keep firing the emails around (good to see a few have started already) and if someone wants to do a write up (Like Arch did last year-be my guest and I'll put it on here), if not I'll be working on one anyway which I'll add on later.
Browse the rest of the site, I've added a few of Westies dirty emails - check the dirty mail page and I have added a couple of pictures from past winners. The Old Royal mail is always good for a laugh, looking back at past formguides and post event write ups. As always if you want to add anything - photos, stories etc send them along and I'll add them to the site.
Cheers
