Aren't they soo cute ? Do you know who I am talking about yet ? Well...it's they're obviuosly The Beatles..John Paul George and Ringo,four angels sent down in the 60's to save rock music from it's untimely death.Well,when they were wee little ones they knew they wanted to be rockers.Well,John didn't know till he was about 16,but Paulie was an early musician.George started at about 13,and Ringo was a little drummer boy.There were two other memebers..Pete Best,and Stuart Sutcliffe.Stuart died(unfortunatly)of a brain tumor in 1962,and Pete Best..well he just wasn't doing his best.So,the final line-up was: John Winston Lennon(Ono)-Rythym guitar,vocals,piano,ocassional percussion. James Paul McCartney-Bass,vocals,piano,occasional percussion Richard Starkey(Ringo Starr)-Percussion,occasional vocals George Harrison(I have no idea what his full name is..if you do e-mail me and tell me)-lead guitar,vocals Okay..so after being turned down by Decca and others,they got signed to EMI..with the faithful Brian Epstien as their manager.Well,as most of us know,Brian was a homosexual,he never slept with John..that is 100% RUMOR !!! Okay..well they made their first album Please Please Me,which was rejected by America(see how dumb America is ?)but after I Want To Hold Your Hand was released,they became a smash in The States..they came over and appeared on Sullivan,and after that,it was nothing but the top for the for cute Liverpudlians...They went on to record some more poppy tunes,but soon they got more innovative,and gave rock a new edge.It started with Revolver.This is just one remarkable album.It has many songs that give you that floating feeling..you know like I'm Only Sleeping,Love You Too,and of course Tomorrow Never Knows.But it also shows that they could still write great lve songs like Here There And Everywhere,and For No One. And it started their silly songs era with Yellow Submarine.After that came the album of all albums..well actually I don't think so..but it's still a good album.I am talking about Sgt.Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band,of course ! I love that album..but it's not me favorite,and I don't think it is the best..but it still rules ! It has the title song backed with A Little Help From My Friends,Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds,and one of the ggrrreatest(and no my r key didn't just get stuck)A Day In The Life.Here's another pic
Alright..where was I ?Oh yes ! Sgt. Pepper !Well,after that came Magical Mystery Tour,which was also a movie. The movie was pretty hip.It was The Beatles' Head..you know just a pointless psychedelic shindig that leaves you feeling puzzled,yet refreshed.It seriously has no point at all...it's just about The Beatles on a bus going nowhere slow,but it's still really cool ! Okay,well in 1967 dear Mr. Epstien passed on.He died of a drug overdose..well not DRUG drugs..sleeping pills I think it was.It's not confirmed if it was a suicide or an accident but I am sure it was an accident,cos Brian would never leave The Beatles on purpose.Well,next up was The Beatles,otherwise known as The White Album.Now this is one of me faves...It's just so good ! It's a double album and it leaves you feeling pervaded with,well,how can I put this..ecstasy ?
