On 20th February,1999 a Taiwanese Fishing boat Captain Kung Tai-an was arrested in Port Louis, Mauritius for shooting dead two Chinese fishermaen and 13 jumping overboard due to fear and panic. Taiwan, as usual, claimed jurisdiction on the case on the basis of International Law of the sea. It is very surprising that Taiwan has violated the same International law in our case. Earlier in March,1997 Taiwan was successfull in bringing to Taiwan the crew of M.V. Maersk Dubai on the basis of International Law.
