Two things I like about Airedale Terriers: first is that they originate from Yorkshire (a district in England that is), which always reminds me of my homeland, and second is that they all tend to be growing a kind of goatee which makes them look wiser than they really are. J

Dalmatians reputedly originated in Dalmatia, in what is now Croatia. It is also known as the "coach dog" because it was used to precede or follow horse-drawn coaches; in the U.S. it is popularly known as the "firehouse dog" because it is often used by firefighters as a mascot. It is a good watchdog, pet, and hunting dog.
