I was born in Russia, grew up in Kazakstan, studied in Sweden and USA and now proudly call myself an Australian. I always had two passions in my life - nature and art, well, apart from the process of learning various new things. This particular passion resulting in me holding various diplomas and certificates in art and computer science, bachelor degree in general biology, MSc in marine biology and PhD in environmental biology. Currently I live in Brisbane and work as an ecologist, in my spare time I do free lance work for publishers of children books as Mimosa Publications and Little Red Apple, and paint for my own amusement.
