All tourist broshures about the Red Center begin with Uluru or Ayres rock, we had to look at it too. Well, nice big rock, very red. Here you can see it and some representatives of Tourist vulgaris, the most abundant species there. |
I really liked Olgas, the long walk goes through absolutely breathtaking places, make sure you don't miss it if you go there! |
Eastern MacDonnald ranges are famous for its spectacular gorges, as this Redbank Gorge. |
"Central netted dragon". |
Central Australian deserts and rocks are inhabited with increadible diversity of reptiles. "Military dragon" one of the lizards you most likely to see there. |
This is another icon of Central Australi - Moloch or painted devil. It is rediculous lizard which feeds only on small black ants. The mostly likely state you will see it is squashed on the road. |
"Earless dragon" is often seen on the rocks watching passing by tourist with couriousity. |
I loved these funny plump spinifex pigeons, they were so engrossed in their spring courting and wresling so didn't bother to notice us and one of them just walked between Greg's legs. |
I discovered the whole world of birds of prey during this trip. This brown falcon was very nice to pose for me. |
"Kings Canion" really deserved it's name. The bottom of the picture is not the bottom of the canion, so I wouldn't stand there... |
