The Boeing 747 is one of the world's largest transport aircraft. It caries 450 passengers and can travel 8000 miles nonstop. The 747 was originally announced in 1969, but in 1965 a new line of 747 was unveiled. The 747-400 was released. This jet carried less people, but it has a larger cargo hold.
