Well, this is my page about me. I live in Brantford, Ontario, Canada when I'm not at school. While at school, I am in Sackville, New Brunswick, about 2000 kilometres (or 1250 miles for those of you who are imperically minded) from home. I am a first year student in the Bachelor of Music program at Mount Allison University. From Grade 9 through 13 I went to Brantford Collegiate Institute, where I followed the French Immersion program, and took all the music courses I could get my hands on. Before that (from K-8) I went to Dufferin Public School, which is a French Immersion school. Now that I'm in University, these two subjects are staying with me, as I plan to minor in French.
As for the things I like, music ranks very high on my things to do for enjoyment, and work. I enjoy being involved in bands and choirs, and am in one of each here at Mount A. At home for the past couple of years I was involved with the Brantford Memorial Concert Band, and their susidiary band the Bell City Band. I also played in the Brant Youth Symphony Orchestra which gives youth from ages 12 - 25 (if I'm not mistaken) the chance to play in a symphony orchestra. I was lucky to play in that, as there are no saxophones in the traditional orchestra, however, without bassoons in the area, the Bari sax made a nice substitute. I was also involved in many groups at school, which I will try to outline on my scholastic page.
Outside of music, I am/was on and off being active in some sports. From the ages of about 10 to 17 I played with the Brier's Basketball Association in Brantford. This was alot of fun, and I played in house league each year, and on select teams for a couple of the years in the middle. As far as sports go though, Baseball is my favourite. Every summer since I was five, I have played in the Brantford Minor Baseball Association. I am a catcher. I tend to have on years and off years on a rotating basis. I truly enjoy baseball, and the league there is wonderful. I know that I am by no means a prodigy, or best player in the league, however I do find that I hold my own on the field. I don't think anything can give me the same feeling as being the catcher of a ball team. Other sports I enjoy but don't get to play often are badminton, tennis, and volleyball.
Anyway, I'll work on this page over time, and hopefully somebody will read it.
