The Nouveau backplate is edged with a draped and swirled pattern surrounding a smooth center field. The matching swirled knob completes the nouveau effect.


The Nouveau Suite has been used in several well-known installations. These include The Great Southern Hotel in Brinkley, Arkansas.


To Use on Newer, Pre-Drilled Doors:
The Nouveau Suite is made to fit a 1 7/8" bored door. It can be used on a 2 1/8" pre-drilled door, if the drilling is just perfect. Choose from the following functions...

Nouveau Passage Set ~
This standard function is non-locking for general use. It is used on most interior doors when privacy is not a concern. Each Nouveau Passage Set includes a pair of Nouveau doorknobs with 8 mm spindle, two Nouveau backplates, a 2 3/8" backset passage latch, strike, and screws.

Nouveau Privacy Set ~
This locking function features a push-button lock for bedroom and bathroom privacy. It can be unlocked from the outside in case of emergency. Each Nouveau Privacy Set includes a pair of Nouveau doorknobs with 8 mm spindle, two Nouveau backplates, a 2 3/8" backset privacy latch, strike, and screws.

To Use on Older, Mortised Doors:
The Nouveau Suite can be used on interior full-mortised doors. It is available as a complete set, including mortise lock, or the parts can be purchased separately...

Nouveau Interior Mortise Lock Set ~
Utilizing our high-quality, English-made mortise lock, this set can replace most worn-out sets with minimal modification to the door. All of our mortise lock sets are keyed alike. Each Nouveau Mortise Lock Set includes a pair of Nouveau doorknobs with 8 mm spindle, two Nouveau backplates, a 2 1/4" backset interior mortise lock with keys, strike, and mounting screws.

A Few Words on Quality & Finish:
All Nostalgic Warehouse hardware is reproduced to blend in well with new construction as well as renovation projects. Because each piece is made by hand, as these items were originally, each piece is slightly different. Minor imperfections in color, pattern, and finish are meant to enhance the antique look and are not considered defects.

All of our brass hardware is lacquer-coated to resist tarnish (unless specifically ordered uncoated). Our lacquer is an interior-grade lacquer. It is made to withstand years of normal residential use. It is not recommended for exterior use.
