BANDED AGATE: Encourages strength and confidence in communications.

So called because it not only remembers the past centuries, but also helps with simple absent-mindedness. Has a good influence on the endocrine system, spleen and heart. AMETHYST: Increases wisdom and emotional harmony - powerful healing stone - initiates intuition and spiritual awareness - calms emotional violence and anger - purifying, regenerating - good for meditation and strengthens immune system. CELESTITE: The 'Stone of Heaven'. CHALCEDONY: a stone of the moon, dealing best with water; it holds powers of protection, especially in travel. Also, like other moon stones, chalcedony banishes nightmares when placed under the pillow. Chalcedony also increases the holders luck.

CHRYSOCOLLA: The 'Woman's Friend'. Excellent for period pains, premenstrual tention and other related problems, strengthening feminine qualities in both genders. EMERALD: The 'Unconditional Love' stone. Has great power. strengthens the heart, liver, kidney, immune system and vitalises and tones the body and mind. This friend to the seeker assists in deeper spiritual insight, introducing the higher self to the divinity within. Inspires love, prosperity, kindness, tranquility, balance, patience and the power to heal.

FLUORITE: "Genius stone" - Beneficial effect in thinking processes often creating brilliant ideas - excellent for advancement of mind and greater concentration - strengthens teeth and bones - grounds excess energy. The 'Gatherer'. A powerful healer, it gathers and absorbs vital nutrients, strengthens teeth and bones, and is beneficial for blood vessels and spleen. Traditionally used by healers to enhance a diognosis. A powerful healer in itself, being efficacious to the liver, gallbladder and bladder, it is also a multi-purpose salve to the whole body. KUNZITE: Excellent for addictions and the like. It is an excellent balancer for physical, emotional and mental compulsives. Strengthens the cardiovascular system and aids manic depressives by opening up your healing heart and surrendering to your higher self, thus enhancing self-esteem, tolerance and acceptance by its soothing and calming presence.

KYANITE: The 'Faithful One'. Has a curative property that affects the throat, especially the voice, by enhancing the creative expression of singers and orators. Called 'faithful' because of its encouragement to devotion, truth, loyalty, reliability, serenity and pragmatism.

LAPIS LAZULI: "Messenger of Heaven" - Most spiritual stone - opens the mind to the divine - protects against psychic attack and depression -enhances wisdom, inner vision and mental clarity - gem of truth and integrity - stone of the Gods. The 'Night Stone'. Good for the nocturnal. While strengthening the thyroid and skeletal system it brings vitality and general relaxation to the mind and body. A powerful augmenter of psychic abilities and communicator with the higher self, inspiring greater creative expression and illumination.

LEPIDOLITE: Similar in many respects to Kunzite. An excellent balancer, allowing a gentle withdrawl from compulsive behaviour. Aids the strengthening of the muscles in the heart and blood flow, while giving expression to your innate inner light and joy.

LODESTONE: The Lodestone (magnet) is used to strengthen spells or amulets and talismans. worn for protection and money. Lodestone is receptive. element of water

MALACHITE: "The truth protecting stone" - Releases suppressed emotions - reduces stress and tension - aids sleep - vitalising for body and mind - fosters patience, physical endurance and inner peace - good for rheumatism and arthritis. Aids the functions of the pancreas and spleen, tissue regeneration, circulatory system and assists in a good night's sleep. An excellent balancer emotionally and physically, while nurturing visualisation.

METEORITE: No known healing qualities. Claimed by some that it permits you to connect with energies from other planets and expand your metaphysical awarness.

MOLDAVITE: The 'Friendly Foreigner'. Originally a meteorite, but has picked up a lot of good healing vibrations after 15 million years on earth. A good balancer of mind and body, it is a gentle assistant to meditation, aligning you with your higher self. A general, if soft, all round tonic for the body and spirit.

MOONSTONE: The 'Mother Earth Stone'. A very feminine stone. Brings ease to period pains and kindred disorders, but on a more fruitful scale than Chrysocolla, with it's emphasis on fertility and child bearing. A good emotional balancer, and a good solid friend, inspiring flexibility, nurturing and wisdom while keeping the emotions in balance. Helps in remembering good dreams

OBSIDIAN (SNOWFLAKE): Absorbs and disperses negativity - very powerful stone - creates energy that cuts through conscious thought patterns - excellent protective stone - powerful healer for those attuned with it. 'Black Velvet'. It's subtle male energies attract the spiritual adventurers. Good for 'girding the loins' by beneficially influencing the stomach and intestines, it keeps energy well grounded, clears subconscious blocks and brings an experience and understanding of silence, detachment, wisdom and love. A powerful healer for those it recognises. Not to be used unconsciously.

ONYX: Stabilises and strengthens the will and body - helpful for positive thinking and spiritual inspiration - enhances emotional balance and self control. A chalcedony that is good for balancing male and female polarities. Strengthens bone marrow and relieves stress by enhancing balance and self-control while aiding detachment and inspiring serenity. OPAL: The 'Rainbow Stone'. Stimulates the pineal and pituitary glands. It aids balance, eyesight and enhances intuition, but it's principal benefit is to induce in you a conscious connection with your higher self, inspiring self-esteem and contetment.
