Saying Goodbye
I think there's a special heaven for blues artists and man I hope God's sellin' tickets. |
LaVerne Baker
1929-1997
For the few of us lucky enough to see her at the Blues 2000 last year, we were treated to a show of unmatched spirit and talent. This was one of those shows you'll always keep in your memories as one of the great ones. With her passing we loose one of the great second generation blues artists.
Johnny Copeland
1937-1997
More sad news as we just learned of the passing of John Clyde Copeland yesterday, 7/3/97.
Born in LA in 1937 Johnny's family moved to Houston, Tx. when he was 13. There he fell in lve with the blues. from there he moved to Teaneak, N.J. Remembering you alway's.
Big Boulder & Jack Frost Mountain put up a page as a Memorial to Johnny Copeland.
Please visit and pay your respects.
