Let's talk about intense pain for a second. Rather, do it and see just how much you can handle, especially a second time. In the end, it was all worth it. This is the end-all, be-all piercing for some people. It was my intention to present it as an offering to my soulmate someday. Even though she wasn't who I wanted her to be, I had a hell of a fun time figuring it out. Word of advice: never have sex a week after getting one. A year to heal out...unless you're really up on your aftercare and then's it's about 6-9 months. Abstinence is one of the drawbacks.
Prince Albert
Or "PA" as it's commonly referred to. Stretched this one up to a 4 ga. over about three years. If I had to choose between the apadravya and the PA, I'd take the apadravya if only because it feels exceptional for my partner.
Hafadas
I have two 10 ga. 5/8" rings in my scrotum in vertical placement. The only piercing that's hurt less was my tongue.
Tongue
Fairly easy to sit through although there was a greater degree of swelling than I had hoped for. Nevertheless, I have two 10 ga. 5/8" barbells in my tongue.
Nipples
When I was 17, I did the thing that no one should do: I got loaded off of Jagermeister and pierced my left nipple. I kept it through some miracle of fate and got the other one to match in 1997. Now they're both stretched up to 8 ga. I may go to 6 but I'm not sure yet.
Nostril
Hee hee...had a little too much acid that day (at age 19) and let a beautiful girl named Isis use an ear-puncturing gun (like you find in the mall) on my nostril. It was intense but fleeting. Still have it at approximately 16 ga.
Navel
Performed for me on a very special day (May 6,1997) this one is definitely a keeper. Now I have it to 10 ga. with a 7/16" curved barbell inside.
Lobes
I recently (11/11/99) acquired some beautiful amber plugs from Organic jewlery. I am quite taken with clarity and lovly details in the amber itself. Look at Erica's site if you get the chance. Mine are somewhere between 9 and 9.5 mm in diameter. I also have some Mexican amber saddles that are around 4mm at the outer edge, behind my stretched lobes.
What's next? Probably nothing. I want to heal out what I have already and see what I've been missing. Once I get used to the apadravya, I won't have to worry about being "speedy" as it were. Sensitivity seems to have quadrupled for the time being.
