| In the goth scene, wearing a size 10 is equivilant to weighing 400 pounds. But, as in the rest of the world, most of us are 10s or larger. The mainstream world has acknowledged this, and with features like, "Curve Ball," in Carpe Noctem, we are recognized, too. | ||
While vacationing in New Orleans (ARVLFC Gathering, Endless Night, Theatre des Anges Noir), I noticed many a volupu-goth. They were beautifully attired and had nothing to fear from the gothic fashion police. My only regret is that I started taking these pictures on the last day. |

Shopping turned out to be a pleasant adventure. Stores like Gargoyle's were stocked with waisteless dresses, skirts with drawstring waists, lots of stretch lace, and things that were flattering to many different shapes. One of the businesses at Endless Night's Dark Bizare, Dark Garden Corsetry, even makes corsets to fit any-body. |
