Born in Turin June 18th 1980, begins studying piano when he's very young, but at the age of tirteen "only" he's addressed to Jazz by piano player Gianni Negro who points out Federico's tendency for this musical sort. His improvements are so considerable that after no long he's successfully ready for audience performances with unanimous consents by veteran misicians.
In 1995 going to Blues Pistoia Festival meets and listens at Pippo Guarnera (Rudy Rotta's band keyboard player) playing his Hammond organ; falling in love with that sound is an easy thing for Federico and when he comes back to Turin begins to study the Hammond with Alberto Marsico clever and skilful executor of that instrument.
In june 1996 he partecipates at Jazz seminars in Genoa, organized by Jazz piano player Massimo Faraò, he had as teacher american organ player Mrs. Shyrley Scott and resulted the best of the organ and piano course deserving a study reward.
He's now a member of historical ligurian blues group "Hot Bibins", soon becoming able to identify and integrate himself in the blues spirict of that band.
Beside the Hot Bibins Federico Conti performs together with saxophone player Bruno Marini Jazz trio and .... in the remaining time frequents the thirdyear of technical school.
Lately he's joined many musical manifestations as the Trieste Jazz Festival and the fourth edition of "Thank You Mr. Hammond", concert organized by the Organ Studio in Chiavari-Genoa. The concert has seen alternating the best Hammond players once a year, among the many ones we like to mention "Captain Jack McDuff".
Rudy Rotta , the prestigious Veronese "Blues Man" has introduced Federico as guest several times in his concerts where the young turinese found the way to side Pippo Guarnera, his first inspirer.
Also others famous musicians as Lannie McMillan (tenor and alto sax), Dywane Thomas (electric bass), Mike Stern (guitar), Buster Williams (acoustic bass),Rosita Still (vocalist),Cynthia Utterbach(vocalist), Benny Golson (tenor sax),Charles Bowen ( tenor sax), Massimo Faraò ( piano),Bobby Durham (drums),Sangoma Everett(drums), Gianni Cazzola(drums), Rev. Lee Brown( vocalist). and many others has introduced , as guest , Federico in his concerts.
