Floyd Johnson, genealogist and researcher of Johnson/Jeansonne Acadian family history and our
brother, departed this life on December 27, 1998. Thousands of Acadians have found their roots due
to his diligent efforts and contributions to our family heritage. He has gone on to his blessed reward,
where he now will find answers to elusive and mysterious research questions, such as who were the
parents of William Johnson. In addition, his accomplishments in city government as mayor, and
church and community activities, especially sports, were numerous. We mourn his passing. He shall
be greatly missed by many.
