Johnny graduated from Hessmer High School in 1965. Then attended LSUA for two semesters. He then worked laying bricks with his father until he joined the Air Force on 3 June 1966. He went to boot camp at Lackland AFB, Texas and Technical School at Chanult AFB, Illinois. In November 1966 he was sent to Moody AFB in Georgia. After their marriage Johnny and Patricia lived in Ray City, Georgia just north of Voldasta, Georgia. From there Johnny was sent to the Phillipine Islands in May 1969 and Patricia and Vance went to live with her mother and father. After returning to the U.S. in August 1970 was sent to Holloman AFB, New Mexico where they lived near Alamogordo. In September 1971 the family was transferred to Barksdale AFB, Louisiana where they lived in Bossier City. In November 1972 Johnny was transferred to Uthapao AB, Thailand and Patricia and Vance went to live with Patricia's mother and father again. In November 1973 after returning to the U.S. again, Johnny was stationed at Nellis AFB, Nevada where the family lived in North Las Vegas and later on the air base. In July 1977 they were sent to Davis-Monthan AFB, Arizona where they lived in Tucson then on the air base. From there they were transferred to England AFB, Louisiana due to Patricia's father's failing health. There they lived on the air base. From there the family went to Neu Ulm, West Germany in July 1983 for two years returning to Dover AFB, Delaware in July 1985. On October 31st 1987 Johnny retired from the Air Force at the rank of Senior Master Sergeant (E8) and the family moved to Hessmer, Louisiana where they bought a house. Johnny started working at KAPB Radio Station as a Sales epresentative on 2 November 1987 and then Station Manager on 1 November 1988.
Patricia graduated from Bunkie High School, Bunkie, Louisiana in 1966. She then attended Avoyelles Vo-Tech in Cottonport, Louisiana until her marriage to Johnny in 1967. She traveled to Georgia, New Mexico, Nevada, Arizona, Delaware, and West Germany with Johnny. She worked as a clerk for a cable company in Marksville, Louisiana; Jewelry Clerk for Wilson's Department Store in Alexandria, Louisiana; Jewelry Clerk at Boscov's Department Store in Dover, Delaware, and in February 1988 she began working as a Jewelry Clerk for Wal-Mart in Marksville, Louisiana.

Married (2)Kecia Watts, daughter of Al and Loretta Watts of Hessmer, on 28 May 1994. Married (3)Cathy Ann Lachney of Mansura, born 11 August 1977, on 29 May 1998, daughter of Keith Francis Lachney and Dianne Louise Gentry. They had one child:

After traveling all around the U.S. and Europe with family in military and attending school in three different states and West Germany Vance graduated from Caesar Rodney High School in Camden, Delaware in 1987 in a class of 350. He worked as a Stock boy/Clerk at a department store in Dover, Delaware until father retired from Air Force and returned to Hessmer, Louisiana. He then worked for a company making cypress clocks in Tioga, Louisiana. In September 1989 he became a guard at the Angola State Prison in Louisiana.

After attending school in two states and West Germany Chad graduated from Bunkie High School in Bunkie, Louisiana in May 1992. After graduation he worked for T.T. Laborde Air-conditioning & Heating for about 6 months. He later joined the Louisiana National Guard and was sent to Forth Jackson, South Carolina for his basic training and technical school in January 1993 for six months, He returned on June 11, 1993. In November 1993 he started working for Avoyelles Carpet Cleaning on a commission basis and later became a guard at Angelo State Prison. He later went back to work for T.T. Laborde for a total of 13 years. He is not working full time for the National Guard at Camp Beeauregard in Pineville, Louisiana.
