I stared at this creature. This Nicholas. A smile spread across my face. Could this be the very same Nicholas mentioned in those delicous vampire books? "It is a pleasure, Nicholas. Now this is the way to treat a queen." I approached him slowly, wondering
if he believed me, certainly he could smell that my blood did not have the scent of mortals. I carressed his face, then kissed his wonderful lips. "Mmm - So wonderfully hard. How I wish women had lips like men."

This woman was actaully convinced she was Cleopatra, he was beginning to believe that she was immortal, her strength afterall matched his. She was squeezing his neck quite hard, it of course didn't hurt him, but made talking bascially impossible, though
ampires have no use for breathing, the intake of air is nescessary for speech. He angril twisted his body, trying to pull his neck free. He suddenly wished he had stayed at the hotel with Lekaire, Her elder strength would be able to overcome this woman.
HE pulled away from Cleopatra, throwing her back afew feet. He massaged his throat with his hands. He looked up from where he sloched on the ground, Cleopatra was slowly advancing on him. Nicholas put on the most charming smile he could muster. "Dear
Cleopatra," He smiled, "it has become apparent to me that neither of us can win this quarrel." She stopped her advance looking at him, anger still painted on her face. He stood up slowly, "My name is Nicholas Lefent." He looked about calling out to Le
aire mentally, he felt like a foolish child who venutured into the lair of a wolf, only to run out crying for his mother. He held out his hand, he was still ready to fight if this woman, this Cleopatra didn't accept his peace offer....

I heard commotion upstairs, the woman saying "we've got them" or some such, presumably into a telephone. Relying on my "gift" to blanket my presence from non-mundane senses, i walked as quietly as i could up the stairs. There, i walked through a couple of
rooms and then stopped, for the sound of the mortals voice was coming from the next room. I must move slowly, un-threateningly, so as not to scare this mortal away as i did with the man.
As i listened to the half-conversation, i heard her rejoicing at the capture of Lestat. did she mean that fictional character from the so-called "Vampire Choricles" - or was this merely a coincidence. Then again, perhaps it hadnt been fiction - Akasha ha
been real enough, and only my gift had allowed me to live, cloaking my presense from even her. Things were worse than i had thought - this woman was over-seeing the capture of immortals - perhaps for the Talamasca! She must be stopped! I readied my self

I just wanted to clarify the rules on the game. We all must work in unison on the story lines. One character cannot kill another character, whether vampire or mortal or whitch, **unless it is agreed upon by both characters.** Maiming or hurting are allowe
! We must all respect the story lines that are in progress and allow them to be played out to the conclusion. Talk to each other about the stories and find out what each character's plan and idea for the story is before acting. Some players may have a def
nite story planned out, and in that case they should notify all the characters involved as to what is happening and get their input.I think there has been some confusion on the limits for the actions of characters and just how far they can go. Let us all
eep in mind that there is no killing of a main character or a supporting character, ie: Pandora's gaurds, the Talamasca gaurds or agents who are sent for a special purpose, a mortal slave, ect...without the agreement of all parties involved. Characters ha
e the right to protect themselves from vicious attacks from mortals, spirits, ect, but we must work together on what is being done. That is all I have to say. I just dont want any ones feelings to get hurt or any personal feelings getting involved. This i
a game to have fun with, remember!

I saw the vampire man I had met at Padora's lair as we left the shop, and I could tell that he was following us. When Cleopatra asked, I lied, and told her that I didn't think so. I saw smoke in the distance, and I wondered what was burning.
I sensed that something was happening, somethig bad. I knew that I had to find my mother, and while it meant leaving my new friend I felt I had no choice. " I'm sorry, but I must leave you. I doubt that we shall meet again." I knew that it was blunt, but
didn't have the time to worry about what some mortal thought of me. I almost wished that she would follow me as I walked away, but I knew this would most definatly not be a wise thing for her to do. I went then in serch of my mother and the others, and a
so to descover what was wrong.

What a shock Natalie would have, when whe opened that coffin at her destination, only to find a dead mortal. Feelings of power and triumph were pulsating throughout my body, in unison. Such an intoxicating blend, victory, and an almost smug sense of self

Akasha's side, if I had so desired. Now, she had taken this battle to the personal plain. I would make her pay, in ways that she could not even imagine. First, I must see that all my friends and companions embarked on their journey to safety. For some

ed the arrival of numerous agents, who surrounded Pandora's hide-out. "Come, my friends, I know what we must do. We will create a diversion, so that the others can escape, with Christine, to safety." We made haste to reach Pandora's lair, and each one
f us stood behind the Talamasca agents on one side of the building. Then, taking a cue from Pandora's clever scheme, we four joined our minds, and I sent my destructive powers flowing through and out of each of the others. The men began to clutch their
hests, and screaming in agony, they soon all collapsed on the ground. I wrenched open the front door, and called out to our friends, "Come quickly, here is your chance to escape. We will stay behind, and clean up the mess. Louis, you go with Claudia."
I then saw, out of the corner of one eye, Christine poised to fling herself from an upper window. I stopped her with my mental power, and yelled to Pandora, "Go and take hold of Christine. Her mind is clouded with confusion, and she is contemplating a fo
lish act, with permanent
consequences. I charge you with the responsibiltity for her safety. I know that you will take good care of her, and protect her, until her mind is thinking rationally again." Pandora immediately went up, and brought Christine down to the rest of us. I
put my finger under her chin, and raised her eyes to meet my own, "Cherie, do not despair. None of this is your fault. Now go with Pandora, and heal yourself," and I softly kissed her. Then the five of them left, and I was alone with Armand and Gabriel
e. "Let's get this mess cleaned up. We will gather all of the bodies in the house, and burn it to the ground. With any luck, the Talamasca will think that the others were trapped in the fire, and give them time to make a successful escape." We proceed

Once on the street, I sensed danger. I felt Pandora, Marius, and another at the edges of my mind experience an attack. Marks scratched across Pandora's skin, and marks showed over her body. The attack was over just as soon as it had begun and I heard

hat you are* my mind spat at him *Kyle! I know what you are! I know who you are!* He stopped struggling, the force of our minds holding him immoble, his true form showing through the ever changing mass of color that flowed around him like water. His eyes
howing the insanity that had overtaken him during life and still held him in death.Marius and I pulled our minds into his, our energy vibrating the tables and lamps around us. The high pitched wail was unberable as Kyle burst into flame, shooting up to ce

Pandora had told me of her plans, and where she intended to hide, with all of our fellow immortals. She sent to me to find Gabrielle. I decided to start at the townhouse. There, I could also warn Louis, to prepare to leave at once. I was almost to the
ront walk, when Armand approached from the other direction. "Come, old friend, help me to find Gabrielle. I will explain as we go." I took him by the arm, before he could protest, and we turned to head into the city. Louis would have to fend for himse
f. I knew that Pandora did not intend to leave him behind. Claudia would never go without him, even though there seemed to be some new and deeper connection between her and Pandora. I did not quite understand it, but had no time to ponder it now, as we
ushed through the city, hunting desperately for Gabrielle. As we walked, searching all of her favorite haunts, I hastily filled Armand in on all of the events, since he had left the city.

I woke later than usually, tired from the interesting events of the following night. I arrived at the house that Lestat had taken me to, just in time to see Claudia leaving, in pursuit of what looked like Lestat's mortal. Christine, was that her name?
fter a moment of deliberation, I decided to make myself comfortable inside the house, after all, I'm sure that Claudia can take care of herself. Besides, if Christine was out, then Lestat would be after her soon. The one thing I can say for my strong wi
led son is that he cares for his companions, mortal or immortal. Christine would be well taken care of. The blood lust began to tease at my senses, willing me to go hunt, I pushed it back, waiting for it to take a sharper edge. Tonight is a night to in

Go Lestat, go to Gabriell*. I gave the driver directions and within moments we had pulled up before my lair, the last safe house in New Orleans, which now was not safe. Dragging Christine behind me, we went in to find Marius and LunaDark. "Claudia, shut t

The agent called back informing me that Christine was practically surrounded by her fellow vampires. I still didn't want her to be harmed, especially if there was to be a confrontation. I stared at the sky with its shinning stars and the white orb claimi
g to be the eye that watched over God's people. Such a gentle moon, alone and cold in an endless universe of misgivings. When I was younger, my father had mentioned joining NASA as an astronaut. He loved it so much, and he had hated the fact that I had
't enjoyed the same passions. When I was a little older, a while after their death, I used to blame myself because I had failed at being daddy's little girl. Ah David, you had been there to change my mind, my father. How I missed him. I missed his stren
th, the vast knowledge he used to surprise me, to give me that same desire to travel. I used to curse the part of me that longed to live the life of a romantic. David had claimed my fantasies would lead to my undoing, and yet here I stood in New Orleans,
the city of dreams. Was I meant to die here, or perhaps I was meant to survive and bring harmony back into the Talamasca. I heard Kyle laugh, and I joined in on his merriment. The Talamasca was probably lost, and not even David would be able to rebuild
it. The phoenix has lost its immortality. And yet, why did I stay? I knew the organization was corrupt, otherwise people like the former Superior General would not have such power. Oh David, I think humanity is lost. A tiny speck of light sped
cross the ebony sky, bringing me back from my thoughts. The night itself was so peaceful, the calm before the store. I brushed a few strands away from my hair. "Pandora plans to move the coven, doesn't she?" I asked him. Kyle materialized wearing a bl
ck jacket and jeans, offsetting his pale hair, "She may move her clan, but I'll know where they'll move. They can not hide their presence. Nor can you." I smiled back at him, laughing silently at his remark. I knew I couldn't escape him, but I wasn't
oing to let that from stopping me. I opened the door but then I heard Frank moaning behind me. I found him doubled over, his clothes tattered and smelly. I grabbed his arm and whispered to him to stay calm. Kyle disappeared, probably going off to torm
nt Pandora some more. I led the Asian boy to an upstairs room, stripping off his clothes as I lay him on the bed. He was horribly weak, his gaunt face staring back at me. I asked the servant to call a doctor as I covered him with the sheets. "You're s
fe here Frank." How had he escaped the immortal? I didn't matter. I grabbed a chair and sat next to the bed, waiting for him to speak.

Taking her hand, I led her out of the stall and over to the sink area, Claudia following. "Both of you must listen very carefully now. The Talamasca will be sending their people some time soon, that is inevitable. We all know this. They will believe it o

Putting my hands on Claudia's shoulders"Claudia, I know you feel a bond with Nat mayfair, but she does not feel one with you and would not hesitate to kill you. She is coniving and evil, as Armand was evil in the past. Do you understand that Claudia?" An

The Devil's Island had lost its charm once more, for I had spent many a night wandering around, watching the vacationers. It was time to get away.
Where to go? Perhaps I should return to New Orleans and drop by Lestat and Louis again - I might luck ut and avoid that blasted infernal child vampire Claudia this time. But I think I'll try something different this time: I'll stay at the Royal Sonesta Hotel on Bourbon Street. Ah, good, their best suite at the tower level is available. I asked that the arrange for a limo to pick me up at the commuter airport and gave them the typical instructions so that I would not be disturbed during my day's sleep; the hint at a bonus for good behaviour helped. Now, off to my plane.
The flight was uneventful a d the limo was there waiting on the tarmac (there's nothing better than good service). After loading up my coffin (doubles as a trunk), we roared off to the hotel. Not a bad place - I should of tried this before. But daybreak would be soon, and so I bi my concierge a good day with a nice tip. The smile I received in return (and his thoughts) told me that I was in a good place.
But before I laid down to sleep, I grabbed out my address book, picked up the phone, and dialed Louis and Lestat's number.

We're ready when you are Mayfair. Just give the command and our agents will swarm Pandora's hide-out." "No, not yet. I need you to send Wright on a little job for me. I need him to find any agent with strong mind powers. If we rely on just our streng

all I'll give," I whispered as he disappeared. At least I hoped he would accept just that, but the part that feared was the part of me that knew I would be paying for more than just graditude. Oh Rowan, I wish you were here to help me with this spirit.
But I knew she wouldn't come. She and Michael were closing some business transactions in California. "Mayfair, we just spotted Christine leaving the compound. What should We do?" Christine! Images of that night resurfaced as if they had just ocurred

I felt that Pandora was overreacting, and I told her so. "Surely it will take some little time for the Talamasca to regroup, after the loss of the S.G., and those others. Besides, you yourself have just noted all of the *outsider* immortals, suddenly in
ading our fair city. The Talamasca can not hope to wound us, with so many of our kind gathered in one place. They don't have the strength, or force of numbers. It is only a certain rebellious faction that wants to destroy us, after all. Most of the me
bers want to keep to their original purpose: observation and record keeping. I will admit that it is a very dangerous faction, but I do not believe that they pose any serious threat to our safety. They are only mortals, after all, if you will forgive my
arrogance. This entity that you sensed, on the other hand, is worrisome. I have, in the past, heard of such creatures, associated with those Mayfair witches. If one of them has attached itself to Natalie, then she has become a threat, and must be dealt
ith, as I have stated from the beginning, despite the fact that Claudia regards her as some sort of personal pet. We must learn all that we can about what this creature could be, and the exact nature, and extent, of it's powers," I paused, "As to the mat

I was going to talk to Lestat as soon as I heard his voice downstairs, but when I peeked I saw Pandora with him having a very serious conversation. The S. G. and the Talamasca came up. God, I was so selfish. Here I was, staying in the townhouse, not think
ng of the danger I could bring down on everyone's heads. There was only one thing to do before things got worst, I had to leave. Now. Tonight. I sighed and went upstairs, chaning into more suitable clothing for running and leaving my new clothes on the be
. I wrote a letter to my beloved Lestat, explaining how I couldn't bare being the cause of any trouble for him or his family. Many tears stained this letter. I had to take what money was left from what he gave me, vowing to someday pay him back. Then I cl
mbed down the trelis outside my window and headed up the street. Sobbing. This was for the best, really. Without me around the Talamasca would leave Lestat and the others alone. They wouldn't dare attack him or the others - not if I was gone. "David, damn
it, where are you?" I whispered to myself. The man had a hand in my upbringing after all. And no one knew the Talamasca the way he did. If he was here it might have been possible to stay with Lestat for he'd know how to beat them. The only others who coul
help would be the Queens of the Damned themselves. For two such powerful vampires could destroy the whole lot of them in one fell swoop. I turned my feet towards the nearest bus station. Deep down, though I knew this was for the best, I hoped Lestat woul
come walking into that station before my bus arrived and take me back to the townhouse by force. Maybe even lock me in my room like a prisoner. I didn't want to leave him. I had to. For his, Louis, and Claudia's sakes. Before the Talamasca came and actua
ly destroyed them.

Looking at Lestat in utter amazement, I could only shake my head. "I think Daniel did well enough in the first publication, don't you?" Pacing the room, all I could think of was Nat and that she had something to do with what happened this evening."Lestat,
you realize that we are all in grave danger from the Talamasca and Natalie Mayfair. There is something else happening here, some kind of entity, for lack of any other word, has made it's presence known to all of us, and it made it's way here with Nat!." I
sat down, trying to stress to him the severity of this situation. "One of my gaurds were killed by this thing within the last week, and I and Marius were both attacked on two occasions. Then tonight, when I awoke, I believe it was in my chamber, *watching
me*! as I slept. It turned on the table lamp and waited for me to wake up! I saw it in the corner almost take the complete shape of a man then disapear." I watched his face to see any register of the panic that I was begining to feel. "The SG is dead, and
o are all in the Talamasca's Oak Haven outside of New Orleans, and I am glad, that is one less of them to deal with, but there is still Nat, and Christine is in danger, Lestat, real danger, as we are!" Pausing, I went to the window, pushing back the drape
to look out on the street."There are other immortals here, in New Orleans. Ones we have not met up with in the past. Why do you suppose, all of the sudden they would almost be flocking here? Can you feel them? I am afraid Lestat, really afraid, and I shou
dn't be. It seems we are all being gathered to this one spot for a reason, one that I am convinced Nat Mayfair knows of." Sighing I sat back into the sofa, feeling drained from all the events that had taken place since Christina's arrival."About the book
estat, I would have to say no to a mortal, that is dangerous, and we have enough of that right now. If David were here, I would agree to him writing it, but he isn't here and neither is Armand, who should have a say in any more books being written." ***Lo
king up at him I waited for his response.***

Shortly after I arose, before I was even able to seek out my Christine, I heard Pandora calling to me. Time to face the music, and explain about the S.G. I would try to deflect her, by telling her of my meeting with the mortal author. I went down to gre
t her, "Bon soir, ma chere amie, are you feeling fully restored this evening? I have a proposal to put to you." Without letting her interrupt, or distract me, I told her of the woman, who wanted to document our histories. "She is the same one who told
ouis's version of our lives, and helped me to publish the truth about myself, and my various adventures. What do you think? Shall you share yourself with the mortal world?" I believe that, for a moment, I actually rendered her speechless. Then I could
see that she was seriously considering the idea. What would her decision be? Would it grant me vindication for my actions, or more condemnation?

I awoke just as the last rays of the setting sun were kissing goodnight to the day. It is my favorite time, with the rich vibrant colors of the dying light reflecting off the dome of the sky. I sensed at once that Marius had already arisen. I knew, as
ne of the old ones, that he needed a minimum of sleep. I went to seek him out, and found him reading in a room downstairs. I slipped up behind him, and slid my arms around his neck, resting my cheek against the top of his head. His soft hair felt like
silk next to my skin. I placed my palm upon his cheek, and he turned into my hand, and kissed the sensitive center. A shiver of pure sensation ran through my suddenly heated body. He then tipped his face up to me, and smiled, which lit his face, but did
not touch that soul deep sadness in his eyes. How I longed to erase that emotion, and replace it with joy, and peace. Never before had I encountered an individual more alone than Marius, even when he was in the company of others of our kind. I came aro
nd the front of the chair, laid his book on the nearby table, and sat down on his lap, snuggling as close to his chest as I could. He tightened his arms around me, and I raised my head, and kissed him, with all my tangled feelings pouring out of me, and
nto him. When at last our lips parted, I took his face in both of my hands, and looked deeply into his eyes. "Marius," I spoke softly, "Will you let me love you?" I awaited his response, filled with new hope for both of us.

I awoke in Louis' arms just after sun set. I opened the lid to his coffin and climbed out. I walked into the parlor where I sat down at the piano, where I began to play a lovely tune to which I did not know the words. I was certain that there were some, b

After spending most of the morning sun bathing I went shopping. I found a little store that sold what I was looking for. The poor young man's face as I bought all the whips and chains, not to mention the rack, the cuffs, the flavored oils, some little dev
ce that will subsitute when I couldn't find a man to fullfill my lust for sex. He was even more surprised when I invited him to my place. I needed the practice after all, and while he couldn't fill my pockets he could more then cool the heat blazing betwe
n my thighs. I bathed when I went home, perparing for him. His face when I answered the door nude except for the thigh cuffs. And when I attached his slave collar to them he grew so excited. His tongue was strong and well practiced. When I was thru forcin
him to taste me over and over I strapped him down, putting the ball gag into his mouth. Those delicous cries as I whipped him, those lovely whimpers as I penatrated his anus with the vibrator, when I wrapped my mouth around his large and lovely organ I c
uld hear him screaming against the gag in extasy. Tormenting him with my tongue. Finally, after doing these things to him, only to pull away before he could reach his pinicle, I straddled him and took him slowly into myself. Riding him until he and I coul
n't take it a moment longer. I let this one go, alive he was of more use to me. After all, it wouldn't be long before I lusted again and if I couldn't find anyone to fill both my lust and my pockets at least I could have him to fill the one. Sex is such a
wonderful tool.

I woke up again mid afternoon. Getting up I did all those little mortal things. Thankful my monthly cycle was nearing it's end. I went out and with Lestat's money bought myself something to eat then I got some things like toothbrushes and toothpaste. I we
t back to the townhouse to check something - there was no working refridgerator, so storing things like eggs was out. I spent a couple of hours washing out the cupboards and such, then I went out and brought some canned goods and some pots and pans. Later
unless Lestat decided that I was to give up my mortal coil, I'd ask him if he'd give me enough to buy a fridge. I wondered if I could call my parents. I missed my family something fierce. But then again, maybe it would be best if they thought me dead. I
ad a new family here after all. If Louis and Claudia would accept me, that was. While I was out, I passed a shop and saw something I just couldn't resist. One of those poet's shirts, with the dipping neckline and flared sleeves. I went in and bought it al
ng with a loose fitting black vest and a new pair of black jeans. There was even enough for a pair of black, soft-leather boots. Being nearly sundown I went to my room, bathed again, and dressed in my new clothes. I hoped Lestat would approve.

This Luna Creature intregued me. She was very young but she had a power to her I could not quite figure out. There was more to her story than just being a new vampire. Not only that but she seemed to sincerely care about me. That didn't happen to often. I
was not much like the other vampires and so I never quite fit in with them. It never truly bothered me. I had spent so many years alone with only the mother and the father that I was used to solitude, but just recently I had desired the company of another
Perhaps this Luna creature would be the one to sate my needs for awhile. I lay in my coffin, now fairly unnecessary(sp?) but still a comfort to me. Sleep took me quickly.

I had been running, not sure where I was going, only to end up pinned in the corner of an alley. No exit and no where to go. "I'm fucked." And then I saw that dead guy from the hospital. I tried to get by him, but he picked me up and threw me in one o
those big garbage cans. It stinks and I can't get out. I made a blanket of an old bag and sat squeezed in the corner, as far away from the dead thing as i could get. As i shut my eyes I felt a pulling sensation. Then I was being shoved into that rail

All the others had left, leaving me alone once more with Claudia. I looked over at her, sighing in disdain over the scene Lestat had made with Christine. I simply couldn't understand his love of mortals. I'd actually tried to reason through it before, and
the only conclusion I could come to was that he felt the need to control another being, and mortals were far easier to control than other vampires. It made sense... I probably could have dwelled on this for hours to come, knowing myself, but dawn was appr
aching. Once more, I looked to Claudia, and said "Care to join me this morning?" as I stood, hoping she'd follow.
