This Indenture made this thirteenth Day of July 1785 BETWEEN Richard Stone of the Parish of Meherrin & County of
Brunswick and William Watson of the said County and parish . . . for and in consideration of the quantity of three
thousand pounds of Inspected Crop Petersburg Tobacco . . . doth by these presents grant, Bargain, Sell and make over
firmly by these presents unto the said William Watson . . . one Certain Tract or parcel of Land lying & being in the
said County of Brunswick and Parish of Meherrin containing one hundred acres and bounded as followeth, to wit, BEGINNING
at Douhe's corner poplar on the South side of Meherrin River Thence along his line North seventy four Degrees West seventy
four poles to a shrub white Oak, Thence South fifty five degrees West one hundred poles to a white Oak,
Thence South twenty degrees East one hundred and twenty six poles to Edward Hulin's corner pine, Thence along his line
North sixty degrees East forty poles to his corner Red Oak, Thence North forty eight degrees East sixty eight poles to
his corner white oak on Meherrin River aforesaid, Thence up the meanders of the said River to the BEGINNING . . .

This Indenture made the fourteenth Day of January 1787 BETWEEN Owen Myrick of the one part and William Edwards of the
other part . . . for and in consideration of one hundred and fifty pounds . . . doth grant bargain sell alien enfeoff
and convey unto the said William Edwards . . . One Certain Tract or parcel of Land lying and being in the County of
Brunswick supposed to contain two hundred acres . . . bounded as follows (to wit) BEGINNING at a corner sweet gum a
corner between King and Alley thence along the said Alley's line to a pine stump a corner between the said land and
Mason's land, thence along a path known by the name of the Meeting House path to a corner Shrub oak on the fork of
the path that leads from Nathaniel Mason's to Jesse Brewer's, thence along the path to Creek, thence up the Creek to
the BEGINNING . . .

This Indenture made this seventeen Day of February 1788 BETWEEN Benjamin Ingram and William Connelly of the County
of Brunswick of the one part and Joshua Lucy of the same County of the other part Whereas the said William Connelly being
indebted to the said Benjamin Ingram in the sum of eighty six pounds with Interest from the twentieth Day of April 1785 and
for securing the payment thereof executed a mortgage to the said Benjamin Ingram for the lands intended to be hereby
conveyed, which was recorded in the Court of the said County with exproviso that if the said money was paid by a certain
day the said Indenture of Mortgage was to have been void and the said Connelly failing to make payment a suit in Chancery
hath been commenced and a decree obtained bearing date the twenty eighth Day of May 1787 directing the sale of the
premise and on the day of sale the said Benjamin Ingram as best bidder for less that the value becoming the purchaser
thereof it hath been since agreed between the said Benjamin Ingram and William Connelly that the said Joshua Lucy should
become the purchaser thereof for the sum of sixty pounds to be paid to the said Connelly's credit with the said Benjamin
Ingram . . . for and in consideration of the sum of the said sixty pounds to the said Benjamin Ingram in hand paid by the
said Joshua Lucey . . . do grant bargain sell alien enfeoff and confirm unto the said Joshua Lucy . . . a certain tract or
parcel of Land above mentioned lying and being in the said County of Brunswick containing by Estimation one hundred acres
and bounded as followeth BEGINNING at James Kelley's corner shrub oak, thence along his line North 42 W one hundred six and an half
poles to a poplar, thence North sixteen degrees East thirty six poles to a small possimmon tree, thence along George
Walker's line South seventy three and an half degrees West one hundred and one and an half poles to a red oak, thence
along Howell Eldridges line South four degrees East one hundred and twenty six poles to a small black jack on the Flat
Rock Road, thence down the said road one hundred and eighteen poles to a spanish oak, thence North thirty eight degrees
east fifty four poles to the BEGINNING . . .

This Indenture made this fifth Day of September 1788 BETWEEN John Green and Dolly Green his wife of Brunswick
County of the one part and Stephen Jones of the said County of the other part . . . for and in consideration of one
hundred and sixty eight pounds . . . hath granted, give, bargained and sold unto the said Stephen Jones . . . one certain
tract or parcel of Land, containing one hundred and sixty eight acres . . . situate lying and being in the aforesaid
County and bounded as followeth (to wit) BEGINNING at the mouth of his spring branch on Nottoway River, thence up the said
branch to the head, thence to his line, thence along the said line to the head of a branch, thence down the branch to
Ceder Creek, thence down the Creek to Nottoway River, thence up the said River as it meanders to the BEGINNING . . .

KNOW all men by these presents that I William Connelly of Brunswick County for and in the consideration of the sum of
seventy pounds . . . do grant bargain & sell unto John Stith . . . two feather beds and furniture one bay horse saddle
& bridle one cow and calf fifteen head of hogs all my blacksmith tools and all my wifes right of her fathers & grandmothers
estate when divided . . . in trust nevertheless upon this condition that whereas the said John Stith is and stands
security for me on a replevy Bond to Benjamin Ingram for thirty odd pounds and on another Bond to Samuel Glass for ten
pounds and whereas I formerly assigned to him a Bond of Samuel Scotts for thirty pounds & he assigned it again to Hinchia
Gilliam which Bond probably on the failure of the said Scott he the said John Stith may be obliged to make good and being
willing and desirous to indemnify him of and in these premises as above mentioned do by these presents give unto the said
John Stith full power & lawful authority whenever he shall may suffer in either of the above instances to take possession
of and to sell at publick auction on reasonable notice for ready money any part or the whole of the above mentioned
property . . . the 4th Day of February 1791.

pounds . . . doth grant bargain and sell alien and confirm unto the John Abernathy . . . a certain parcel or dividend of
land containing by estimation one hundred acres situate in Brunswick County on the North side of Couches Run and bounded
as followeth BEGINNING at the said Abernathy's corner srub oak on the North side of Burches Road, thence along John Stiths
line North 43 degrees East twenty poles crossing the said road at William Connellys corner spanish oak thence along his
line the same course continued 83 poles to a small blackjack thence a new line South 49 degrees East 208 poles to a small
black birch on the said run below the Courthouse Road thence up the said Run as it meanders to the said Abernathys corner
gum on the same, thence along his line North 49 degrees West 172 poles to the BEGINNING . . .

and in consideration of the sum of fifty nine pounds eight shillings . . . do grant bargain and sell alien and confirm
unto the said Henry Merritt . . . a certain tract or parcel of land containing by estimation one hundred and eight acres
situate in the said County of Brunswick on the North side of Burches Road and bounded as followeth BEGINNING where the
said Merritts line croses the said road, thence along the said line North eight [sic] six degrees West sixty poles to a
srub [sic] oak South twenty five degrees West thirty nine poles to a hickory North seventy degrees West seventy six and
a half poles to where the said line crosses Halls Branch thence up the said branch South thirties [sic] West eleven poles
to the mouth of a small branch thence up the said small branch South thirty two degrees East sixty seven poles to a young
mulberry tree on the South side of the same thence a new line South nine degrees East 153 poles to a spanish oak on the
said road thence down the said road North 50 degrees East thirty two poles North 34 East seventeen poles to where John
Abernathy Jr's line crosses the same thence along his line North fifty degrees West three poles to his corner srub [sic]
oak, North forty two degrees East twenty poles to the said road at Connelly's corner spanish oak thence down the said road

private survey two hundred acres situate lying and being in the County of Brunswick aforesaid and is bounded as followeth
BEGINNING at Arastotles [sic] Eldridges corner shrub oak on Thomas Lundies line, thence along Atistotle [sic] Eldriges
[sic] line North sixty and an half degrees West two hundred and forty poles to a spanish oak on Frederick Burdges line,
on the Courthouse Road thence along his line South twelve degrees West eight poles to a small black jack thence South
thirty five degrees West forty three poles to a black jack on the said road thence along the said Burdges and Thomas
Stiths lines South thirty five degrees East one hundred and ninety eight poles to Lewis Browns corner shrub oak thence
along the said Lewis Browns line North fifty two degrees East eighty six poles to a white oak on Thomas Lundies line
thence along the said Lundies line North fourteen degrees forty eight poles to a pine thence North forty five degrees

This Indenture made this 9th day of May 1793 between John Loyd of the County of Brunswick and Buckner Stith of the same
County . . . for and in consideration of the sum of Five Shillings . . . he the said John Loyd doth hereby acknowledge
he the said John Loyd hath granted bargained and sold aliened and confirmed unto the said Buckner Stith . . .
a certain tract or parcel of land on the South side of Couches Run containing two hundred acres adjoining the lands of
Aristotle Eldridge, the Revd. Thomas Lundies Lewis Browns & others agreeable to a deed bearing date the 9th day of
May 1793 from Andrew Meade to the said John Loyd for the said land and also the following property vitz. on [sic]
Chestnut Sorrel mare one bay mare and three cows and calves & one steer . . . In Trust nevertheless and it is the
true intent and meaning of these presents that whereas the said John Loyd being indebted unto Andrew Meade in the
just sum of fifty pounds eighteen shillings due on Bond executed this day and being willing and desirous to secure
the said Andrew Meade in the payment thereof with interest and the costs of this deed at a future date doth agree
that it shall and may be lawful and he doth hereby give unto the said Buckner Stith full power and lawful authority
after the first day of December 1794 on giving ten days public notice to sell to the highest bidder for ready money the
land and property aforesaid and to apply the money arising from such sale to the payment of the within mentioned sum with
interest from the 9th day of May 1793 to the said Andw. Meade . . . but if the said John Loyd shall on or before the
expiration of the term aforesaid or at the day of sale pay unto the said Andrew Meade the said sum of Fifty Pounds
Eighteeen shillings with Interest and costs aforesaid in full then this Indenture shall be null and void and of no
effect as if the same had been made . . .

bargained and sold aliened and confirmed unto the said William Connelly . . . a parcel of land containing forty eight
acres situate in the said County of Brunswick on the East side of Burches Road and bounded as followeth BEGINNING where
Henry Merritts line crosses the said road thence along Henry Merritt's line South eighty six degrees East at thirty six
poles crossing the spring branch one hundred and six poles to his and Andrew Meade's corner shrub oak thence along Andrew
Meade's line South forty three degrees West one hundred and fifty two poles to a hiccory [sic] on Alexander Brown's line
thence along his line North fifty three West thirty six poles to a small pine on the road aforesaid and thence along the
said road to the Beginning . . .
