Eef is the greatest. I played/studied with him numerous times. Aside from being a truly unique monster musician he is also the same as a person; integrated pesonality huh ?

Anyone out there know where I can find Eef's 4 CDs and any other recordings he's on? I have the Focus Con Proby CD (His playing is mind-boggling on that) and I recently found the Akili CD at a used CD store. (His playing is restrained, but the music is very pleasant) Have been a big fan of Eef over 20 years. It would be great if he ever came to the US to perform.

Hello Eef Albers fans !! I have the following Eef Albers albums that I can put onto CDR for anyone that is interested: "BLUE CAPRICORN" "SKY RIDERS" "PYRAMIDS" All Of these LP's are out of print. None of these is available on CD except for "Pyramids". The LP (vinyl) version of "Pyramids" is different from the actual CD version!! The guitar solos on most of the songs are completely different!! I discovered this only recently when I located an vinyl LP copy of "Pyramids" and compared it to the CD versi n which I also have. If you are an Eef Albers fan this is a must have. Apparently the LP was released first and when the CD was issued Eef redid most of the tracks and played different solos on the CD. For more information please email me..........

Hi, Listening to a flemisch singer/songwriter "Lieven", (CD "Jus d'Orange" originaly from 1976, re-issued in 1998) I discovered some amazing guitar solo's (I'm a jazz cat - Kenny Burrel, Philippe Catherine etc) so I looked at the credits and found Eef Albers o be the guitarist - so via a search engine I bumped onto this site - very nice, I must admit that I didn't know Eef, but will try to find his records. I was the happy owner of Blue Capricorn once and I have never forgotten Eef Albers music eventhough I lost my LP along the way. I'm very pleased to find this site finally. Hoi Eef, ik zit hier in Australie en zie opeens dit!! Ik zit gratis te internetten in de bibliotheek in Sydney: ik woon hier nu al een maand op een flatje en werk om straks verder te kunnen reizen. Het is hier ontzettend leuk, ik heb in Holland een gitaar gekocht (net voordat ik wegging, op het laatste moment)en heb hier de tijd om iedere dag te spelen. I'm glad to see that there is finally some interest in Eef's music. I have been a fan for some time and get quite frustrated at the lack of knowledge others have of Eef. The North Sea Jazz Fest boot is one of the best live shows ever. I've yet to see even the smallest video clip of Eef in concert. Can anyone help out there? Keep up the great work on the site.

I was blown away when I first heard Eef's playing on the Con Proby album,( It was the only redeeming feature on that particular effort) and subsequently on the Medusa album which I still own... Are the solo products only available in Europe??? I have neve seen any Eef stuff in Canada... Cheers
