The following are the steps to be taken to upload an "html", "gif","jpg" or "other" type of file using the Geocities EZ File Upload program. Please remember, you can only upload with this utility using Netscape Navigator, MIE 4.0 or MIE 3.02 with the File Upload Add-on. If you are using any other browser please see Using Other FTP Programs.

Step 1:

 At the bottom of the Geocities File Manager Page is the EZ File Upload program. The first thing to do is to check the automatically convert filenames to lowercase box. (See the following example)

Step 2:

 Click on the Browse button. This will display a window of your computer files. Find the directory that contains the file that you want to upload and double left click on it. Next left click on the "Open" button. This will display the file name in the box next to the browse button.

Step 3:

 And the final step, is to left click on the Upload File button at the bottom of the EZ File Upload section. Your file should upload without any problems.
You will receive a message near the top of the page once the file is completely uploaded, stating that the upload process was successful.

Step 4:

Always "view" your files after you've uploaded them to make sure they uploaded correctly. (Occasionally you may upload a file that gets mixed up along the way.)

If you have a lot of files in your directory, you may want to limit the types of files you display by checking off the appropriate extensions below or by choosing to enter filenames manually.

List files with the following extensions:
html gif jpg other
List files which begin with:
Manually enter filenames
