Selman Field Weddings

26 August 1942...The first wedding held on the Post, was the marriage of S/sgt. Fred Boas, Jr., of Freemont, Ohio, 329th B. Hqs & AB Sq. and Miss Irene Snooks, of Tiffen, Ohio, in the temporary Post Chapel. Service by Chaplain Phillip H. Oxnam.

During the war, many cadets were married at Selman Field. Below is a wedding photo of Robert A. Seida, 44-12, and Luella M. Seida, formerly of Chicago, Illinois

Fulfilling her late parent's wishes, Mrs. Robert Seida Dobill, sent their Selman memorabilia to the Selman Field Historical Association Collection.

These photos are of the "topper" that was on their wedding cake.

The dolls are made of porcelin and their clothing is completely hand sewn.
