I enjoy a wide variety of music. I hope to provide some stories, pictures, information, and concert information about some of more favorite artists and groups here. I will also try to introduce some new and more obscure artists and groups that you might have not heard of and I feel that you might want to try to listen to. If your into or are interested in sampling some Blistering Blues or Jazz music then please visit the Blues & Jazz Listing. The Listing lists some of my all time favorite blues and jazz groups and artists that are sure bets if you want to listen to blues or jazz. There are a great number of artists, groups, and styles of music that many people have never even heard of because they are not mainstream and do not have a huge following or radio air-time or no air-time at all. I really enjoy rock, blues, and jazz the most but I will also provide information about other styles of music also.

This page will have the new features and current featured artist(s) and music or you can go on down to the Blues Lounge or Check out the Frank Zappa Page

Scott Henderson and Tribal Tech: If there is any new band that you listen to this year, then make it Scott Henderson and his band Tribal Tech. It is very hard to group this band under the Jazz Style because they explode at times into a musical frenzy of suffisticated chords and changes. Led by Scott Henderson's screaming yet crisp guitar riffs, Tribal Tech can really rock your world. Their music is hypnotic and relaxing at times. These hynotic chords can lead you into a false sense about what this group is about-- jazz fusion. Tribal Tech and Steve Henderson are like the Dixie Dregs meet Led Zeppelin. If you don't know who the Dixie Dregs are, then you should, because they are included in this Month's Music Recommendation.

The Dixie Dreg's are lead by the extremely talented Steve Morse on lead guitar. I would recommend any of his solo stuff along with the any of the Dixie Dregs stuff. Ever since Steve formed the Dixie Dregs at the University of Miami, he has won five consecutive titles as "Overall Best Guitarist" by Guitar Player Magazine's Reader's Poll of which he has subsequently been banned from competing-to allow others a chance. Steve has won the Grammy and has also been nominated a number of times for Best Instrumental Artist in fusion. Steve has worked with such greats as John McLaughlin, Al Dimeola, Allan Holdsworth, Pat Metheny, Eddie Van Halen, Albert Lee, Eric Johnson, John Petrucci, and many others. I have seen Steve Morse many times live and I have NEVER been disappointed.

The first time I saw him live is when he backed up Rush at the Providence Civic Center in Rhode Island and he floored me. My mouth hung open as I watched this guy I had never heard of before mimmick Jimmy Page and Jeff Beck riffs. He stood in front of a virtually empty Civic Center with a huge smile on his face and belted out guitar licks most artists only dream of. He was playing his heart out and he didn't care who was watching or appreciating his work--he's passionate about playing and it shows.
