What's New

In hopes that someone out there likes what they find here, I'll make sure all the new stuff is noted on this page so you can go right to it.

August 19, 1998

Just added a link to Indigo Swing's web page that lists all their tour dates, and noted the next show scheduled for Seattle on the Events Calendar.

It seems that the Speakeasy Spies show on August 28th has been cancelled due to a car accident.

August 18, 1998

The I changed the format of some of the pages around a little bit, and pretty much rewrote the main page, but there isn't any real new content today.

August 17, 1998

There's a new band up on The Bands page by the name of Big Time Operator. They have a website worth checking out, too.

August 15, 1998

Just one little thing. On The Bands page, I marked the bands that are playing for dances in the near future.

August 14, 1998

I've kind of neglected this for a few days, so here is the new stuff:

I've added a few more bands to The Bands page, and most of them have performances coming up.
Lance Buller and his Monarchs
Ham Carson Quartet
Comfy Chair
Flat Top Tom and his Jump Cats
Indigo Swing
Katie King and the Savoy Swing Band
Casey McGill and the Spirits of Rhythm
Larry Prigg's Resurrected Swing
Rex Rice and the Swingtime Band
Speak-Easy Spies
Two Scoop Combo
Monty Banks is going to be playing at the Meany Hotel on September 19th.

I also put some MIDI files up (for yer listenin' pleasure) on the main page.

And...I got rid of the Miscellaneous page and created a Calendar page with all the live Lindy-worthy (or just plain ol' swing) music in the area that I know of. If I've made a glaring omission, let me know.

August 6, 1998

Added a Miscellaneous page and posted some info about a show airing tonight on KCPQ 13 featuring a segment on the recent Swing revival.

H.B. Radke and the Jet City Swingers will be playing tomorrow at One Union Square.

August 3, 1998

I started to sort out some of the bands listed on The Bands page. The ones that I know are local are noted with a green bullet; the ones that are from out of the area or that I am not sure of their origin have a red one.

July 28, 1998

Jump Up! Will be playing at the Russian Center in Seattle on Friday, Aug. 7.
