CHOCOLATE BUTTERSCOTCH TART
(Definitely not for weight watchers!!)

Crust:
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 cup sugar
1 egg
1 cup butter or margarine
1/8 teaspoon salt

Filling:
1 cup butter or margarine
1 cup brown sugar
1 1/2 cup golden syrup
2 cups heavy cream
5 eggs

Chocolate Sauce:
1 cup dark baking chocolate
1 cup heavy cream

For Crust:
Heat oven to 350-degrees F.
Mix all crust ingredients til dough forms.
Knead and roll to 1/8 inch thick, using
extra flour if necessary. Place in tart pan.
Pierce, bake for 15 minutes. Set aside.

For Filling:
Heat butter and sugar in saucepan over high heat.
Add syrup and stir. Boil for a minute or so.
Add cream. Whisk eggs to mixture. Add half the
syrup to eggs. Then return the mixture to the syrup
pan. Whisk. Strain into crust. Bake 15-20 minutes until
set in center and top is bubbly.

For Sauce:
Melt chocolate over hot water. Heat cream over high
heat to a low simmer. Whisk chocolate into cream.
Pour over tart. Serve with ice cream, if desired. 1
