1 pint milk
4 eggs, beaten
1/2 cup melted semi-sweet chocolate
1 teaspoon cocoa (preferably Dutch processed)
1/2 cup sugar
Preheat oven to 300 degrees F.
Bring milk to a simmer. Remove from heat and whisk in all other
ingredients.
Pour into custard cups and place cups next to each other in a
baking pan.
Slowly pour warm water into the pan to about halfway up the cups.
Bake at 300 degrees F. until center is firm. Chill.
Puddle some of the sauce on a serving dish. Set the flan on the puddle.
Drizzle a little sauce over the top.
SAUCE
1 pint heavy whipping cream
3 eggs
2 ounces Kahlua
1/4 cup sugar
Heat cream and whisk in all other ingredients. Bring to a simmer.
When the sauce starts to thicken, remove from heat and continue to
stir as it cools.
