1/2 cup cocoa powder
2 tablespoons butter or margarine
3 cups sugar
3 tablespoons light corn syrup
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 cup milk

1/4 cup butter or margarine
1 teaspoon vanilla
Combine cocoa, 2 tbsp. butter, sugar, syrup,
salt and milk in a buttered 3 quart pan.
Cook over low heat, stirring constantly
until sugar dissolves. Cook to soft-ball
stage without stirring. Remove from heat
and plop the 1/4 cup butter on top.
Do not stir.
Cool til just lukewarm. Add vanilla and
beat to spreading consistency.
