MISSISSIPPI MUD CAKE
(Warning: This cake is deadly!)
CAKE:
2 sticks butter or margarine
3 1/2 tablespoons cocoa powder
2 cups sugar
4 eggs
1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 1/2 cups chopped nuts(these can be omitted)
1 tall jar marshmallow creme
Preheat oven to 350-degrees F.
Melt butter, add cocoa and sugar. Add eggs, vanilla and flour.
Mix well, and add nuts if desired. Pour into a greased and floured
9x13" pan and bake for 30 to 35 minutes. Remove from oven and
spread the marshmallow creme over the cake while still hot.
Cool thoroughly.
FROSTING:
1 tablespoon vanilla
1 stick butter or margarine, soft
3 1/2 tablespoons cocoa powder
1/3 cup milk
1 box confectioners sugar, sifted
Mix all ingredients and beat til smooth. If necessary for proper
spreading consistency, add extra milk 1 tablespoon at a time.
Frost cake when completely cool.
