ORANGE TRIFLE

1 package(16-oz.)Angel Food Cake
1 package(1 oz)Instant Vanilla Pudding*
2 cups cold Milk*
1 tablespoon grated orange peel
4 ounce container Cool Whip*
6 tablespoons orange juice

Bake cake as directed, in 2 loaf pans.
Cut one into cubes, freeze the other.

Prepare the pudding. Fold orange peel and
half the topping into the pudding.

Place 1/3 of the cake cubes in a small
trifle dish. Sprinkle with 2 tablespoons
orange juice. Spread 1/3 of the pudding over.
Repeat twice. Spread remaining topping over top.

Refrigerate at least 3 hours. Makes 12 servings.

NOTES: *Use sugar-free pudding, skim milk and
fat-free Cool Whip for a delicious diet dessert....
which, if you eat it like I do, is a very good thing!!

Chopped nuts can be added to each layer if you wish,
but I never use them.

Bought pre-baked angel food cake can be used.

I personally like to use the large package of
pudding mix for a more moist trifle.
