6-8 small sweet potatoes
2 cups sugar
1 cup white Karo
2 cups water
1/2 stick butter or margarine
3 or 4 slices lemon slices
Peel potatoes and cut into pieces.
Melt butter in iron skillet.
Put in the potatoes. Mix all the
other ingredients and pour over
the potatoes. Cook slowly til syrup candies
and potatoes are done, for about an hour.
