DEATH BY CHOCOLATE
Adapted from a recipe by
Art Ginsberg, Mr. Food
This is a little lower in fat and calories
than the original, but still fairly high in both, so
don't think this is diet food.
21-ounce package lo-fat brownie mix, (prepare batter per instructions)
1/4 cup coffee-flavored liqueur
....or sugar-free equivalent of 1 tsp. sugar mixed
....with 1 cup black coffee
Two 4-serving packages instant fat-free/sugar-free chocolate pudding, prepared as directed on package, using skimmed milk
Eight 1/4 ounce chocolate-covered toffee candy bars,
....(like Skor or Heath),coarsely crushed
....(sorry, I can't cut fat here...let me know if you have a way.)
12-ounce container fat-free frozen whipped topping, thawed

Preheat oven and bake brownies in a 9x13-inch baking pan
according to directions. Allow to cool completely.
Use a fork to prick holes in the top of the cooled brownies.
Drizzle with liqueur or coffee.

Break up the brownies into small pieces. Place half in
the bottom of a large glass bowl or trifle dish. Cover with 1/2
of the pudding, then 1/3 of the candy and 1/2 of the topping.
Repeat layers. top with remaining crushed candy. Cover and
chill for at least two hours before serving.

Makes 24 servings. (You don't want to know the stats on this!)
