As I was feeding the horses and giving them water I didn't notice that AJ had came back out and was looking at me. "What do you want? " A smile graced his face. "I'm really sorry about earlier. I was just having some fun....I really didn't mean any of it." Looking at him I could tell he meant every word he said. " Well I guess I can for give you. Do you want to help me with Dakota. I think he has a rock stuck in his hoof and I need help getting it out." AJ walked over and I told him what to do. Once we got the rock out Dakota was no longer limping. " You know you are missing the tour in the mine don't you?" " What mine?" AJ stepped close. Leaning down he placed a kiss on my lips. Just then everyone that was on the tour started to come out of the mine. I stepped back and helped the kids that were there get back on there horse. On the way back I didn't look back at him. Even though he was right behind me I just couldn't do it. I mean I never ever would let a guy just kiss me like that...why should he be any different?
We got back to the stables, helped the people get off the horses, and took pictures of people on there horse. After that was all done I started to put the horses in the pin and take off the saddles. My day was done and now it was time to have some fun. Me and Jeff went with some of the other people who worked there and went to the saloon to have a drink. " So Amber how was your little talk with that guy?" If I didn't know any better I would have sworn that Jeff saw him kiss me. Giving my best little girl face and fake souther accent I asked "Why what ever do you mean sir?" That brought a laugh from all our friends. Just then Howie and AJ walked in to the saloon and took a seat at the other end of the bar. " Like you don't know what I mean Amber. I saw him kiss you." " WHO KISSED AMBER!!" My buddy Joey who was more then a little buzzed was looking at me. " Joey sweetheart no one kissed me. Its all in Jeff's head...I think all this heat got to him." Jeff gave me a look to tell me I was full of shit. He then saw the two at the other end of the bar watching the whole thing. " Amber if the heat did get to me then why is it the guy at the end of the bar cant take his eyes off of you?" I took one last sip of my Kahlua (is what i really need right now! right ambear?) I got up and left the bar. Joey got up just as fast and went after me. "Baby I know I'm not all here right now but did one of the guys that was in the bar come on to you?" If he did I'll go in there and kick his butt for you." I always did love Joey. He was like my big brother, always there to keep me safe. I walked over to him and put my arms around his wast and helped him back to the house. " Joey I'm ok I promise. Jeff really doesn't know what he's talking about. Right now we need to get you to bed so you can get a good nights sleep." I helped him into bed and gave him a kiss on the cheek. " Love ya shit head" " back at you hoe."
Now that Joey was in bed I went back to the stables and got Dakota and took him out for a ride. The hole time it felt like some one was watching me, but then again it was a really old town and there was said to be some ghost floating around. "Maybe its one of them." I made my way back up to the old mine that we gave tours of. Still felling like I wasn't alone I tied up Dakota and took one of the lanterns and went in the mine. It was the one place I could feel safe and let my thoughts wander. I walked for about 10 maybe 15 min and stopped. I put out a blanket that I took and sat down. Looking at my surroundings I started to write a new story. I don't know how long I sat there writing but I stopped as soon as I heard a twig snap.
