Back at home, Brian got out the towels while the rest of them got ready.

Janis was in Kevin's room putting on her surf shorts when he knocked on the
door.
"Come in." Janis said, buttoning her shorts.
"Woo, sexy mamma!!" Kevin shouted
"Shut up!" She said laughing

AJ was walking past the room when he heard Kevin say that about Janis. Right
away he was behind Kevin and approached his shoulder. Janis' back was turned to
them.

"You ready Buger?" Kevin asked
"Yup" she said

AJ looked at Kevin with a questioned face.

"Why do you call her bugger?" AJ asked
"He speaks!!!" Kevin gasped loudly, then looked at Janis.
"Have you noticed that Bone Daddy here barely said a word all day? ….. That's
not like him. He's usually a blabber mouth, like you!" He said staring at Janis
"Shut up Kevin!! Come on AJ, we shouldn't listen to this thing over here, he
sleeps in Spiderman underwear for God sake!" Janis said putting her arm around
AJ's shoulders and leading him out. Kevin pouted, then stuck up for himself.
"Used to!!" " I used to wear that underwear!! ……. It…. it….. it was the fad back
then!!"

AJ and Janis laughed as they walked to the kitchen. She slowly took her arm
off of AJ's shoulders, and much as she didn't want to. AJ noticed her arm moving
so he looked straight at her. She looked back at him and gave him a slight
smile. The look they gave each other only lasted two seconds, but to them it
was longer. AJ didn't want her to leave his side.

Out at the pool, they all stood around waiting for someone to jump in.

"So, who's brakin' the ice first?" Howie shouted
"You are!" Nick replied, then he pushed Howie in. Kevin grabbed Janis by her
waist and jumped in, dragging her with him. Nick, Brian and AJ looked at each
other with an attempted look on their faces. Before any thing was said, Howie
grabbed Nick's hand and pull him in. Brian and AJ knew what was in for them, so
they sacrificed themselves and jumped in. They started splashing each other and
playing around. Kevin was feeling a little aggressive so he started to resettle
with Nick. Soon, AJ and Howie joined in. Janis and Brian remained on the side
watching and laughing. AJ, and Howie turned and looked at them.

"Hey!" AJ said tilting his head around
"Look at these two. Trying to hide from all the chaos……. Shame on you."

Brian tried to cover himself up.

"Uh … no…. no…. I was planning on jumping her when she wasn't looking….see….
aaaaaahhh……aaaaahhhh…….aaa…. shit!!"

Janis started laughing and shaking her head. Brian took off, and went to the
other guys, while AJ stared at Janis.

"You wouldn't want to tackle me, would you?"

Janis said in a helpless voice

"I don't know… .would you run?" He replied

Janis paused for a couple seconds.

"No." she said quietly
"That's all I wanted to hear" AJ said, then turned to go back to the guys.

After a while, they got tired of playing in the pool so they decided to go to
the hot tub.

"Woo, this feels good!" Brian yelled as he walked in.

They all got comfortable in their own spot. Kevin noticed Janis rubbing the
back of her nick, slightly massaging.

"Buger, need a massage?" He asked.
"Would you?"
"Sure come"

AJ looked at Kevin with a weird face….

"Hey, Kev…… you never did answer my question.."
"What question Bone??" Kevin asked
"Why you call her Buger?"
"Oh, that question…." Kevin said laughing
"Well.. when we started hangin' out more than usual, we kinda realized that we
were definitely gonna be the best of friends, so everytime we went out alone or
with a group, we were always together. She just kinda grew on me, and stuck with
me…. Like a buger….so I started calling her that."
"And, that's why I call him suction…" Janis said laughing
"I stick to him like a buger, and he sticks to me like an opihi" (author's note:
if you don't know what an opihi is, it's a limpet here in Hawaii, that some
people eat… they stick to rocks really well, and it's hard to get them off.)

Everybody started laughing, but Brian was a little on the confused side.

"Um… what's an opihi?" He asked

Nick looked at him and started laughing.

"We'll explain later…. On the other hand, is anyone else hungry, or is it just
me?" Nick asked again
"I could eat again." Kevin said
"Ya, me too!!" Howie added, "McDonalds is still open."
"Let's go!" Kevin said standing up.
"I think I'm gonna stay back." Janis said
"Ok"

AJ looked at Kevin as a signal, and Kevin caught on quick.

"You mind staying with her AJ?" He asked
"No, not all." AJ said with a grin.

Kevin took Janis and AJ's order and left with everyone else. AJ suddenly got
nervous. He realized it would be his first time alone with Janis for more than
two seconds. Little did he know, Janis was feeling the same way.
