Doug giggled.
"What's so funny?" I asked.
"Nothing. It's just that, you won tickets for us, and now we're
going backstage to meet Brian Littrell and Nick Carter.
I mean, we're lucky." he said, smiling.
I had to laugh myself. The day had taken an interesting turn of
events, that's for damn sure. We turned one last hall
intersection and ended in front of a nondescript door with
almost no markings on it. The bodyguard knocked and
yelled, "The two people from the audience you asked for
are here!" I heard Nick's voice reply, "Great. Send them in."
The bodyguard smiled at us again and opened the door. "See
you guys later." he said, and walked away.
I furrowed my brow and muttered, "And just what the hell was
that about?", looking back toward the receding body of the
guard.
"Don't worry about it." said a voice from within the room. Both of
our heads whipped around right into the smiling face of
Brian Littrell. Nick Carter sat on the other couch. Nick
grinned. "Come sit down." I looked at Doug again, and
went to sit over by Brian, him by Nick.
"We don't see many guys at our concerts. It's usually all
screaming little girls. You guys kinda stood out, and we
wanted to meet you." Brian said, with a slight hint of what
seemed like lust in his voice.
"You guys won the radio station contest, right?" said Nick.
"Yeah..well, actually Matty over there did." Doug said,
pointing at me.
I giggled. "Yeah. They asked an obvious question. Which
Backstreet Boy is scared of heights? Of course, it was you,
Brian. I happened to be the sixth caller. Wasn't I lucky?" I
said.
Brian nodded. "Not as lucky as I am."
I stared at Brian. "What?"
He shook his head and looked down. "Nothing."
I glanced over at Doug. He was busy talking to Nick. I turned
back to Brian, and brought his chin up with my finger. "Tell
me, what did you mean?"
He looked at me, what seemed to be tears stinging behind his
deep ocean blue eyes.
"I was looking at you throughout the entire concert. You were
cute..that I noticed. But I looked at the way you were
laughing and giggling and dancing with your friend, and I
knew you were a good guy. And you have no idea how
long I've been looking for someone like that." he said,
smiling slightly.
I grinned and slid the back of my hand down his jawline. "And
you found him."
He leaned in and kissed me ever so lightly, and placed his
hands on my chest. "I'm glad.." he said, as I hugged
him.
Doug took a moment out of his conversation with Nick to look
over. His eyes went wide, and he gasped. "What?" said
Nick as he looked over. "Ohh!" Nick giggled as he saw
what Brian was doing. "Looks like Bri got the object of his
affections."
Doug looked confusingly at Nick. Taking a chance, Nick
leaned in and kissed Doug, slipping him a bit of tounge.
"And I found mine."
Brian took his lips off mine, and said, "What say we take this
back to the hotel room?"
Doug and I grinned.
"Sounds good to me." I said, as we all got up and headed for
the door."
