Chapter 1
Brian made his way to Nicks and Megs house mumbling as he drove. He couldn’t figure out how Amber talked him into taking this video over to there house. As he pulled into the drive he saw Nick trying to make a three pointer and missed. Nick stopped as he saw Brian pull up and get out of the car. “Hey Nick don’t quit your day job!” He just rolled his eyes. “Funny Rok. So what brings you here? Your not after Megs again are you?” One good thing about his friendship with Nick was they never got jealous when they would spend time with the others girlfriend. “Nope just came to give this to Meg but it looks like you need help in the basketball department. Does Nick need a lesson in basket ball edict?” Brian grabbed the ball and went to dunk it but before he could do so Nick jumped up and denied it the chance to go in.
"You really think you can beat me Rok?" Nick said with a smile on his face. "Yeah I do hot shot" "Care to put your $ where your mouth is?" "hmm I have a better idea, you win you get Amber for a week, I win I get Meg for a week" Brian said holding out his hand to seal the bargan. "deal?" He asked Nick. "Deal" Nick said shaking Brian's outstretched hand. "Ok just to show you how good a sport I am, you get ball first" Nick said as Brian nodded, and started half court with the ball. Brian, dribbled in and out, dodging Nick perfectly, then he did a lay up and got a point. "SWISH! read it and weep" Brian said as Nick through him the ball, "lucky first shot" Nick mumbled.
They continued to play back and forth. Both of them were dripping with sweat and took off there shirts. Before it had started they agreed to play to 21. Now three hours later they were tied at 20. Just as Nick was going to put it in for two and when Meg pulled up and sounded the horn on the car. “DMMIT! I was just about to win.” Taking the ball Nick through it as hard as he could at the side of the house. Brian sat down and was laughing as hard as he could. “Oh man Nick your not going to win how may times do I have to say it. Your woman is mine for the week.” “What was that Brian?” Meg had just walked up and heard the last part. “I ummm.....Hi Meg!” Brian got up and went to go get the ball. As he walked away Meg stood there and gave him a good look over. She loved to watch him and Nick play and get all hot and sweaty. Nick had always wanted to know what got into her after Brian would leave on those days. “Nick what is going on? Why am I going to be Brian’s?” Shifting from one foot to the other he tried to think of a way to tell her what he and Brian did. “You see ummm.... Brian was telling me I don’t know how to play ball. So we made this little bet and well. The winner gets the others girlfriend for a week.” Nick took off running to the back yard to fined Brian and give Meg a chance to cool down.
She couldn’t believe her ears. Nick and Brian had made a bet and her and Amber were the prize. “How could they!” Well then again she always did have a good time when Brian and her went out and when her and Amber would have lunch and talk she always wondered what it was like to be with Brian. Then again Amber had wanted to know the same thing about Nick. Getting a grin on her face she made a mad dash into the house and called Amber. “Wait until you here what Frick and Frack did!” Meg told Amber what they did. “I’m going to kill Brian!!!” Amber didn’t know what got into him and was on her way over to fined out. “Wait before you come over I got an idea what if you and I played a game and then the losers has to....” As soon as Amber got off the phone she was out the door.
Meg hung up the phone, smiling. This was the perfect way to show those boys who was in charge. All they had to do was beat them at their own game, and she knew exactly how her and Amber would win. The back door opened interrupting her thoughts, and in walked Nick and Brian. “You boys hungry?” She asked them
sweetly. Nick looked at his girlfriend, “umm baby, your not mad at us?” he asked as he took a seat next to Brian at the table. “No, why should I be, it was just a silly little bet,” she said walking to him, sitting on his lap her finger
trailing the line of his jawbone. “Hey if you two are gonna start that, I’m gone” Brian said standing up. Meg hopped off Nick’s lap, and said “sit B, Amber’s coming over, and we wanna play ball with you guys.” The two men stared
at each other “you two wanna play?” Brian said dumbfounded. “Yeah, is that ok?” Meg said hands on hips. “Of course it is baby,” Nick said pulling her to him, kissing her softly, “just as long as you know your gonna loose” he finished as the front door opened and Amber called out “I’m here, Meg!” and walked in the
kitchen.
“Hey babe” Brian said greeting Amber with sweet smile. “Don’t you hey babe me” she said staring at Meg. “How can you let him touch you? After what you said just went on? You two disgust me,” she said looking back and forth to the two of them. Meg smiled, pulled away from Nick, walking towards Amber she said, “well
seeing as though they were going to go somewhere I had to play nice.” Nick looked at Meg as she turned; he saw the same look of Anger in Meg’s eyes. ‘Damn her moods change like the wind’ he thought. “now” Meg said backing the guys out the back door, “we are going to play a lil game of ball, just like you wanted. Except this time you play by our rules.” She turned and looked at her friend, and said “Amber tell them how were playing…”
“Well you see guys there will only be two rules. One is anything gos.” Amber gave Meg a side ways glance to see if she had caught on to what she meant. Brian walked over hoping she wouldn’t back hand him. Wrapping his arms around her and holding her close he asked “And just what is rule number two?” Leaning back so her head was on his shoulder she locked eyes with Nick. “You will just have to wait until the game is over to know what that is.” Nick and Brian’s faces broke out into big grins knowing there wasn’t a chance in hell that the girls would win. “Well baby you know your going to loose so why we just skip to the end where you do what ever it was that the loosers do?” Meg walked over to Nick and took the ball from him. “Not so fast Nick. Were going to play, your going to loose and then you will wish you had never made that bet with Brian.” Walking back to Amber and Brian...who at that point was trying to get on her good side. From the looks of things it was starting to work. Taking her by the arm Meg pulled her out side with the guys right behind them.
